Disha Vakani from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah became famous for the role of Daya Jethalal Gada. Even though she has played several roles in other TV shows like Khichdi, Hero Bhakti Ki Shakti, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, and many more. Disha has also done many short roles in films. Disha had taken maternity leave from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as she was pregnant but after delivery, she quit the show. The director Asit Modi had confirmed that Disha won’t be coming back as Dayaben.
