Ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty has become synonymous with bumper openings.

And it’s not limited to his action-packed entertainers like Singham Returns, Chennai Express and Singham, to name a few. The blockbuster director has set a new record, this time on television. The first episode of the keenly awaited Khatron Ke Khiladi — Darr Ka Blockbuster Returnsreportedly registered higher viewership than that of last year.

What’s more, the new ratings are the highest for any reality show in the last one year. Attributing the high TRPs to grander scale, the reality show host says that the comedy aspect is also adding to the entertainment quotient. Ask him if he expected this kind of response and Rohit replies, “The idea was to go beyond what we had done in the previous season. The audience has liked the dares, stunts and scale in the opening episodes of this season. The coming episodes will only see an increase in the adrenaline rush.”
Probe further on what’s in store for the audience in the upcoming episodes and Rohit says, “We’re keeping the momentum on the ascent. From now on, everything from the thrills to the scale will only double up.”
