Rituraj Singh's demise: From Rupali Ganguly to Aly Goni, Navneet Nishan and other celebs pay heartfelt condolences

Rituraj Singh, who was last seen playing the role of Yashpal in Anupamaa passed away last night (19th February). The actor passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59 and his sudden demise has left everyone shocked. Many celebs from the industry including his fans have sent their condolences to his family and expressed their deepest concern and sadness towards the same. Here’s a look..

Rupali Ganguly shared screen with Rituraj Singh in TV show Anupamaa. Rupali aka Anupamaa worked at Yashpal’s (Rituraj Singh) cafe in America. The actress took to her social media and mourned the demise of the late-star. She wrote, “Dear Rituraj Sir, It was an honour to share screen space with you... like an enthusiastic student getting to learn her favorite subject from a teacher who has taught many others, I was overjoyed ... You said you had seen my work and yet I wanted to prove to you that I could earn my place in the frame standing next to one of the legends of television whom I had watched growing up ... your all knowing smile after our scenes and your words of encouragement was like a report card to me... I was thrilled by your kind words ... but there was so much more to learn Sir.... These pictures I had taken of you when you wore the chef cap... I was tardy in sending it to you ... never thought these would be put up here as a remembrance.... Your life stories, quirky sense of humour, immense knowledge about world cinema and your talent shall always be remembered Thank you for being Yashpal Sir to my Anupamaa .. Thank you for the words that left an indelible mark ... Rupali May you find peace.”

Navneet Nishan was one of Rituraj’s close friends friends from the industry. She was ‘shocked’ when she learnt about the late-actor’s demise through ETimes TV and reacted to the same in an exclusive chat. She said, "I am utterly shaken. My heart feels heavy with grief. Rituraj was an extraordinary individual—so vibrant, so full of life. It's bewildering to witness this string of losses. It feels as though everyone's turn is coming. Naveen had the privilege of working alongside Rituraj in 'Banegi Baat' and noted his influence on Shah Rukh Khan. She said, "His influence on Shah Rukh Khan was palpable. Whenever Ritu spoke, it was as though SRK's essence echoed through him. Their personalities were remarkably alike. He grappled with pancreatic issues. Despite his health battles, he remained steadfast and disciplined."

Veteran actor Amit was the one to confirm the news to ETimes TV. He revealed that Rituraj passed away due to cardiac arrest last night (19th February). He said, "Yes he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas returned home had some cardiac complications snd passed away."

Another actor who mourned the demise of the late-actor was Aly Goni. He shared a picture of him on his instgram handle with a ‘’ emoji. Aly Goni has been away from TV for a while now.

Aarti shared an old picture with Rituraj and expressed her grief over his demise. She mourned the death of the late-actor and wrote, “I don't understand I have to write R.I.P for Ritu Such a happy, fun loving adorable friend How and why, what's there in life??? It's so unpredictable It's so hurtful God bless you my dearest, love you We will miss you.”

Harshali Zine, who portrayed Rituraj’s daughter-in-law in the show "Hitler Didi," expressed grief over his demise. She mentioned, "I played his daughter-in-law in the show 'Hitler Didi.' My character was introduced later in the show, and that's why I was nervous. The set was in Malvani, and I would stay in Navi Mumbai. He was the first person who came to talk to me on the set. He made me very comfortable. We bonded well, sharing many memories and stories. Rituraj and Shah Rukh first met during their days with acting guru Barry John, both part of the Theatre Action Group (TAG), often competing for the same roles. He would also tell me that he has worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan in the acting school."

Jaswir was shocked with the news of Rituraj’s demise as well. The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared an old picture with him. She walked down the memory lane and recalled how they have known each other for over 19 years. Kavita Kaushik was left shattered by the news as well. She didn’t fail to take it to her social media me mourn the demise of Rituraj. While sharing his picture, she wrote, “HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY BUT AT A LOSS OF WORDS.. Om Shanti.”
