Remembering Sidharth Shukla: Last appearance with Shehnaaz Gill, lifting Bigg Boss 13 trophy to being a senior in season 14

It is going to be a difficult time for all as Sidharth Shukla will be dearly missed. With Bigg Boss 15 premiering on October 2, Saturday, 9pm, the actor, who lifted season 13 trophy, entered as a Senior in season 14, will be remembered as the new season begins. His last appearance in Bigg Boss OTT with his favourite person Shehnaaz Gill will forever be cherished and remembered. Dancing with her, giggling with her to even praising her amazing transformation, his chemistry with Shehnaaz just grabbed many eyeballs and made all the #SidNaaz fans excited.

Sidharth Shukla entered Bigg Boss 14 house as a Toofani Senior along with Gauahar Khan and Hina Khan. The terrific trio stayed in the house and mentored the contestants of the seasons. His stay worked in favour of Rahul Vaidya, as he supported him and saved him when Gauahar and Hina didn’t want him to. Contestants like Nikki and Jasmin idolised him in the show and took his advise.

After four and half months of stay from September 29, 2019 to February 15, 2020, Sidharth Shukla lifted the winner’s trophy while Asim Riaz as the runner up. Seeing the popularity of the show, it was given a five-week extension, and it became the longest season. It also became the most successful Bigg Boss season since the inception of the series.

Sidharth Shukla gained immense popularity with fan pages trending #SidHearts. He played the game solo with all might and power. His dialogue, ‘Akela hoon, akela theek hoon aur akela khush hoon aur akele se phat ti hai tum sab ki…’ became an iconic dialogue.

Bigg Boss 13 gave birth to #SidNaaz. Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill became the most popular couple of TV with this show. Their fights, nok-jhok, friendly moments to love-filled moments, fans took notice of these two and they now worship them.

Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz were known for their bromance in the initial days of Bigg Boss but later they ended up locking horns every day. Their ugly fights reached a point that host Salman Khan had to intervene. He slammed the two ‘macho men’ for their constant refrains of ‘bahar mil (meet me outside)’ and threatened to ‘throw (them) both out of the house’. However, once the show ended, they buried the hatchet. Post Sidharth’s demise, Asim sitting quietly near his pyre is still a haunting scene.

In January 2021, Sidharth Shukla hosted 16th week's "Weekend Ka Vaar" of Bigg Boss 14. He was filling in for Salman Khan, who was missing from the show due to other work commitments.
