Rabb Se Hai Dua's Tanish Mahendru reveals his real-life inspiration has been his mother, says 'Despite our financial burdens, she never let us feel deprived'
Tanish Mahendru, who has been winning hearts with his portrayal of "Sufi" in the hit show Rabb Se Hai Dua, reveals his real-life inspiration lies closer to home. In an exclusive interview, the actor opened up about his deep bond with his mother and how she shaped him into the person he is today.
"Since childhood, our parents obviously give their best to raise us but there’s a reason why they specifically say that mother’s love is unconditional and unbreakable," Tanish shares.
Coming from a modest background, Tanish's mother, a teacher for the past 25 years, has been the backbone of their family. Despite financial struggles, she ensured Tanish had a well-rounded upbringing, encouraging him to participate in various extracurricular activities.
"She always wanted me to become an all-rounder," Tanish reminisces. "From swimming to skating, theatre to dancing and singing, she supported me in everything. Despite our financial burdens, she never let us feel deprived. I love being around her like a small kid.”
One of Tanish's fondest memories is of his mother surprising him on his birthday last year by visiting him in Mumbai. "I couldn’t believe it when I opened the gate and saw her standing there," he recalls with tears of joy. "I felt so blessed and happy."
Describing his mother as his role model, Tanish expresses his love and admiration for her, saying, "Words can never express my love for her, whatever I’m today, it's all because of her. My friends often mistake her for my sister because she looks so young," he chuckles.
“My ultimate dream is to fulfill my mother's wish of visiting Kedarnath, her dream destination as she's a devout Shiva Bhakt. I pray for her long life and want to give her the world because she deserves nothing but the best” he says, "she's a really positive person."
