Celebrating #PandemicMoms

On Mother’s Day, we reached out to television actors to know who is the person who is helping them sail smoothly through the pandemic. TV celebs reveal who helped them in these tough times. Have a look…

2/7

Karanvir Sharma

The Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani actor shares, “I have really grown fond of my on screen Mother Alka Kaushal. We share a special bond and she always tells me how I remind her of Varul Badola. She is very caring and nurturing. Especially, when I was sick and away from home. I am glad I came across her in life. I will always cherish my bond with her. Not only her but my entire cast is like a little family. This is what keeps me going. Especially, when I am away from my own family.”

3/7

Himanshi Khurana

The Bigg Boss 13 contestant shares, “As I stay alone so during the lockdown I had my best friend accompany me. We played mothers to each other all through it. While she took care of me by feeding me scrumptious food, I took care of all the other household chores. Even when I caught the virus she took care of me in every way possible. Pandemic is a difficult phase for everyone I think we are passing it out each day because we have each other helping the other one out.”

4/7

Roopal Tyagi

The Ranju Ki Betiyaan actress shares, “My pandemic mom was a cat named Gucci Poo. She just happened to walk into a house one day and we realized that she was pregnant so we decided to take care of her. Later she gave birth to four kittens. Taking care of her and those four kittens is how I spent my lockdown and for me, I feel the feeling for actually taking care of pets is the reason why I did not get so worked up during the pandemic because I had something to do. The cats were my pandemic mom because in a way they didn't let the whole situation get to me. I am grateful that Gucci Poo walked into our lives at the right time, she was almost God sent.”

5/7

Manit Joura

The Prem Bandhan actor shares, “Well, I would call my brother my pandemic mom as during the lockdown we both stayed together with my pets. My parents were back in Delhi. Even though we had divided the chores between us and he used to do the cooking, he took care of all my needs. I was grateful to have a companion when the world was locked up in their homes.”

6/7

Shagun Pandey

The Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye actor shares, “I am grateful that I have been working this pandemic. I realised how much work is important. For me the mother who takes care of me during this on going difficult time is my co-star Vashma Baig’s mother. She gets extra food always for me and I am glad that there is someone who takes care of me like my mother when she is not around. She keeps reminding me too that I should eat my food too when I don’t and this always touches my heart.”

7/7

Shivangi Khedkar

The Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali actress shares, “I get homesick a lot on the sets of my show since we are shooting away from them in Hyderabad. Every now and then I feel that how great it would have been if my mother was here. The senior actors on the set take care of me like a kid especially the ones who are playing the female characters in the show. Even if I am not well, they don’t think twice, they will keep checking up on me. I have various mothers on the set and they are my co-stars who take care of me no matter what happens.”
