Nikki Tamboli, Shivangi Joshi to Jasmin Bhasin; fashion hits and misses from an awards night red carpet

Monday night (August 16) was a red carpet night at a music awards show where TV celebs kept their best fashion foot forward. But was it their fashionable best? Right from couple Jasmin Bhasin-Aly Goni to Nikki Tamboli, Shivangi Joshi, Sharad Malhotra and many others kept the red carpet buzzing with their stylish, shimmery and dapper looks. Take a look at who wore what and if they made the most of their red carpet outing. Pics: ETimes TV

Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni

Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni made quite a mark on the red carpet with their ‘all-black look’. Aly Goni’s quirky look complemented Jasmin’s elegance in the ‘opposites attract’ way. Jasmin’s skater dress with sleek pair of heels and a neat hairdo looks just hits the right amount of classy and stylish. Pics: ETimes TV

The ladies in black

Akanksha Puri and Reem Shaikh just show how the red carpet look is done. While Akanksha turned heads in a sleek metallic gown, the highlighter and bronzer look is overpowering. Popular youngster Reem wore a simple strappy black outfit. Their thigh-high slits, make-up, minimal accessory look was on point. Don’t miss Reem’s pearl detailed heels. Pics: ETimes TV

Shivangi Joshi

Shivangi Joshi is one of the most popular actresses in the TV industry and has a huge fandom. But somehow she just missed the mark on the red carpet. The unflattering choice of outfit, colour and silhouette somehow doesn’t match up to the look she intended to. To top it all, the make-up was too overpowering for the camera lights. Pics: ETimes TV

Nikki Tamboli and Shruti Sharma

Both the actress wore black gowns with a voluminous tail and that’s where it fizzled out. While Nikki could have just gone for the shimmery little black without the satin patchwork net tail, Shruti’s gatherer crushed net gown would have looked wow minus the ruffled-shoulder and the tail. Adaa Khan and Surbhi Chandna

Both the actresses opted for safe looks and well, they nailed it. Adaa picked a black gown in princess cut and Surbhi wore a lace gown with a deep neckline. However, Surbhi could have gone for a sleeveless gown for a neater look. Pics: ETimes TV

Sumedh Mudgalkar and Mallika Singh

The RadhaKrishn lead pair is a superhit jodi among fans and they tried to create a ‘matching look for the red carpet. Mallika wore the shiniest red gown of all times but it’s the cakey makeup that draws attention. Also, Sumedh’s suit, bow tie, trouser’s length and red shoes are all a mismatch. Full points for the effort though. Pics: ETimes TV

Avneet Kaur and Ashnoor Kaur

The BFFs of telly town are social media sensations when it comes to serving up some stylish looks of all times. But we don’t quite know what went wrong on the red carpet. Avneet trying to give a rockstar vibe and Ashnoor’s big black floral brooch on a white dress, doesn’t hit the right fashion notes. Pics: ETimes TV

Anupamaa actors

Madalsa Sharma’s black dress is on point but it’s her choice of footwear, where she went wrong. Sudhanshu Pandey stepped in a staple look – a white shirt and denim. On the other hand, Anagha Bhosale’s skirt and top look gave more of a bridesmaid vibe than a red carpet look. Pics: ETimes TV

10/12

Sharad Malhotra and wife Ripci Bhatia

The telly couple did create a fashionable look but it was Ripci, whose shimmery metallic shirt and shorts co-ord outfit stole the limelight. Though the satin piping on her dress gives it more of a pyajama party look than a red carpet one. Probably that's why Sharad kept his look simple. Pics: ETimes TV

Ruhi Chaturvedi and Anjum Fakih

The Kundali Bhagya actresses came in white outfits. While Anjum looked like she came for a college event, Ruhi’s pantsuit look got lost due to the fit and choice of fabric. Her sleek hairdo and shoes looked red-carpet ready though. Pics: ETimes TV

The men on the red carpet

Vijayendra Kumeria, Avinesh Rekhi, Rahul Vaidya and Sanjay Gaganani made quite a mark on the red carpet. While Vijayendra and Avinesh went for maroon suits, Rahul Vaidya navy blue velvet suit was red carpet ready. However, it was Sanjay Gagnani’s stylish suit, and shoes that made the most impact.
