Nehha Pendse, Kamya Panjabi to Ekta Kaul: Times when celebs got trolled for remarrying, getting married to a divorcee and their marital choices

Mere Angne Mein actress Ekta Kaul, who recently held a Q&A session with her fans on her social media page, answered a marriage question thrown at her. Married to Sumeet Vyas for three years now, she faced a ‘disgusting’ question from a user. One of the questions read: How successful is it in your view to marry a divorced man or woman? Ekta chose to answer the question with a sarcastic reply, “It’s a disgusting question but still would loveeee to answer! It’s this successful Sir.” She shared a family picture with Sumeet and son Ved Vyas. For the unversed, Sumeet was previously married to actress Shivani Tanksale for 7 years and got divorced in 2017.

Shweta Tiwari has been a single parent to Palak Tiwari and Reyansh for quite some time now. The actress walked out of both her marriages, which were 'abusive'. She has often been at the receiving end of sexist questions. The actress has spoken unabashedly about how society normalises a wife-beater and expects a woman to stay in the marriage. But my husband and I have learned to ignore them.”
