Nach Baliye: TV couples who parted ways after participating together on the show

Nach Baliye season 9 is all set to return to the small screen, but there is something that many might have not noticed. The show, which has seen many popular couples participate, has not been so lucky for some as they broke-up right after the show. From Raja Choudhary - Shweta Tiwari to Karishma Tanna - Upen Patel, here's a list of all the couples who called it quits post their participation.

The good-looking actors' love story began on TV. They met in the Bigg Boss 8 house and fell in love with each other. The couple then went on to do Nach Baliye 7 and Upen even went down on his knees to propose to Karishma and their love story looked perfect. But soon the news of their break-up came out. The couple called it quits in 2016.

Television’s popular duo Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat, who became close friends during the shoot of 'Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak' and tied the knot in May 2011, ended their relationship early this year. The couple was part of Nach Baliye season 6 are headed for divorce, thereby ending their marriage of around eight years.

Kumkum Bhagya fame Mrunal Thakur dated writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi for sometime and together they participated in Nach Baliye 7. Their love story caught a lot of attention then as through Nach Baliye, the ex-couple wanted to convince their parents to accept their relationship. But their love affair came to an end right after the show and the actress is now rumoured to be dating her former co-star, Arjit Taneja.

The former couple were seen in Nach Baliye 3. Shweta and Alexx's wedding ended in 2011 after they filed for a divorce. The dated each other in 2006 and got married in October 2008. The couple tied the knot in four different ways - a court marriage, Buddhist, Hindu ceremony and a Christian wedding. Sweta is now married to Ken Andino and they have a son together.

The Brazilian actress, who is currently pregnant, was also one of the contestants on Nach Baliye 6. She had participated in the dance reality show with her then partner, Omar Herrot. Post the show, the couple announced their break-up. Bruna is now dating Allan Fraser and they are expecting their first baby.

The estranged couple, who tied the knot in 2012, were part of Nach Baliye Season 5. Their relationship went through many ups and downs. Deepshikha had filed a complaint against Keshav for threatening to kill her and her kids. They had then parted ways for a brief period, but after a few months reconciled. However, they have now separated and are living their life peacefully.

Kavita Kaushik, who is now happily married to Ronnit Biswas, was once romantically involved with Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant actor Karan V Grover. The duo danced together in the third season of Nach Baliye and their love affair became known to everyone post that. But the relationship didn't last long and the couple called off soon after the show ended.

Though the duo weren't a part of the show, but they appeared for one of the episodes as guest performers in the third season. They were married at the time and were all love-eyed. Their marriage didn't last long and they ended up getting divorced. Karan Singh Grover is now married to Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu.

Rahul Mahajan married Dimpy Ganguly on the reality show 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. The couple was head-over-heels in love with each other when they participated as a couple on Nach Baliye 5. They stayed together for a couple of years, but their not-so-happy married life ended when Dimpy filed for a divorce. They have also been a part of Bigg Boss. Dimpy is now happy married to Dubai-based businessman Rohit Roy and has a daughter.

The ugly divorce of Shaleen Bhanot and Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon actress Daljeet Kaur is known to all, but there was a time when they backed each other and were each other's biggest support when they contested in Nach Baliye 4 and also won the trophy. Their split was a big news as Daljeet accused husband Shaleen of domestic violence. They ended their marriage in 2015.

The little Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is not so little anymore as Sana has become a sensation with her performance on reality TV shows. She tapped her feet along with Deepesh Sharma on the show, and most often the couple was accused of staging their relationship for the show. However, they were never seen together post their alleged break-up.

Gaurav Chopraa, who was last seen on Bigg Boss 10, has also been a part of Nach Baliye, where he participated along with his then baliye Narayani Shastri. The couple was a part of Nach Baliye 2, and the two called it quits while the show was on.

Who doesn't remember talking about Beyhad actor Kushal Tandon, when he brought a foreigner named Elena Boeva along with himself as his baliye on the show? The duo received immense appreciation and votes from their fans, but they also headed towards a break-up post the season, and they stayed on cordial terms ever since.

Delnaaz Irani and husband Rajeev Paul were a part of the second season of the show. They disappointed many fans by announcing their separation post Nach Baliye. However, Rajeev tried reconciling with wife on Bigg Boss post that, but Delnaaz seemed to have made up her mind till then.

Ye Hai Mohabbatein's Karan Patel had been romantically involved with his Nach Baliye partner Amita during the third season of the show. It came as a surprise to many when Karan announced his relationship with Amita and they appeared as partners on the show, but the rumours were put to rest when Karan, post their elimination, announced that she was never his girlfriend.

Shweta Tiwari was a victim of domestic abuse, but when she danced on Nach Baliye 2 along with husband Raja Chaudhary, they had become the hot favourite jodi of many. Saroj Khan was the judge of the show during that season, and she was accused by other contestants for favouring this couple. Shweta is now married to Abhinav Kohli and has a baby boy with him.

Pooja Bedi and Hanif Hilal's pair was the second one to have called it off right in the middle of Nach Baliye 3. They started dating each other on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and thrilled the fans with the news of them appearing together on Nach Baliye 3. But the hearts drifted apart and love subsided, eventually leading to a break up right after the season ended.

Rakhi Sawant's relationship with her partner Abhishek Awasthi didn't end on a good note as they got upset with the competing couple winning over them.

Punjabi film actress Neeru Bajwa and TV actor Amit Sadh dated each other for eight long years and were the celebrity contestants on the first season of Nach Baliye. It was when Amit was in the Bigg Boss house that Neeru decided to break up with him.
