Mohit Duseja on wrapping up Naagin 7: The show added value to my career and gave me new opportunities

Actor Mohit Duseja has wrapped up his journey on Naagin 7 and is reflecting on his character Kapil, a role he says turned out to be far more complex and emotionally layered than he initially expected.

“Playing Kapil was layered, intense, and very different from my previous roles,” Mohit shares. “On the surface, he appears fun-loving and carefree, but beneath that he carries a very unusual past—he was once a Naag.”

According to the actor, this hidden supernatural history gave the character a unique depth. “Kapil’s past gave him an intense edge that he’s constantly trying to hide. Today he’s living as a regular printing-press employee, but he’s carrying a lot of supernatural baggage within him. That duality was what surprised me the most,” he explains.

Beyond the fantasy element, Mohit says what truly connected him to Kapil was his everyday middle-class struggle. “Kapil is juggling responsibilities, bills, relationships, and life’s challenges all at once,” he says. “That hustle is something so many people can relate to. Nothing comes easy, but somehow you still find reasons to smile. It’s stressful, messy, and honestly, kind of beautiful.”


The actor also reveals that this show has opened new doors professionally. “The show definitely added value to my career. My inbox was very busy after the wrap. I can’t reveal much yet, but I’ve already signed a new project. It feels like Naagin has unlocked a whole new set of opportunities. For me, Kapil wasn’t just another television role, it became a character that challenged me as an actor and connected deeply with audiences.”
