Kaun Banega Crorepati 17: Visually impaired contestant Ayushi tells host Amitabh Bachchan ‘I have heard you are very tall and handsome’
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, visually impaired contestant Ayushi takes the hotseat in the Fastest Finger First round. As host Amitabh Bachchan helps her seat, she calls the moment unforgettable.
Ayushi shares, “Ever since this show began, my entire family watches the show and would narrate to me how the set is, the lighting and how you make every contestant feel so comfortable. I am feeling very comfortable right now. This show is feeling for me. I would also hear from people about you. They tell me about how tall you are, your face cut and how handsome you are.”
Big B shares that they are priviledged to have her on the sets.
Big B also welcomes Ayushi’s mother, who tells him, “She is visually impaired and also has a disease. As a child, she would be able to see the blurry light, but that vision also reduced. She has been a very excited and enthusiastic kid. She always had the spirit to do something in life.”
Ayushi reveals she an IAS officer and had ranked 48 all over India. She is currently working as Sub Division Magistrate.
Ayushi says that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has been her inspiration apart from her mother.
Prior to becoming an IAS officer, she was a lecturer for 10 years.
Big B asks her about her first day at work, to which she replied, “It was unbelievable. It felt like a dream come true and I was living for this.”
She also recalled how her mother quit her job and held her hands. She shared, “I would make notes in Braille and my mother recorded all the books. She made sure I manage time well.”
She uses her first lifeline audience poll for Rs 3 lakh question: As of August 2025, who is the CEO of NITI Aayog? A. Rajiv Kumar, B. BVR Subrahmanyam, C. Ajit Seth, D. Amitabh Kant.
With their help, she correctly answers option B. Her game ends at Rs 5 lakh question and she becomes the rollover contestant.
