Pratik Gandhi on how his wife helped him

The Scam actor stated that in 2006 while performing for a play, he first saw his wife Bhamini in the audience. Later, he learnt that she was also an actor. He revealed that he took two years to ask her out for a coffee. Opening up about his life, he told Big B, "I am what I am today because of my family. I will always have this guilt that I did not spend much time with my family. When my wife was pregnant, I did not have a house in Mumbai and I was way too busy in office. She was staying with her family during pregnancy. I was doing a play at that time and had also got my first film. When I asked her what should we do, she told me something which is still afresh in my mind. She said, "Main jaanti hoon agar tum ye nahi karoge toh khush nahi rahoge, toh tum ye kar lo baaki sab kar lenge." He gave his wife a flying kiss who was sitting in the audience. (Photo: Instagram)

Did you know Pankaj Tripathi is a professional cook

Pankaj Tripathi reveals that he’s a professional cook, much to the surprise of everyone, and went on to add that he holds a degree, as well. Elaborating on this revelation, Pankaj Tripathi shares, “Yes, I do cook. I was a professional cook as well for a couple of days at a hotel. It was at a hotel in Patna. I had taken up training from the Food Craft Institute of India. There is a 2 year course of Food Preparation and Production Technology where, you learn about food hygiene. It is basically a training to be a chef. Now IHM does it, FCI doesn’t do it anymore. So, I did the course and worked at a hotel in Patna for two years. I used to do night duties there so that in the morning I could do theatre rehearsals.” (Photo: Instagram)

I was told to gain 18 kgs for my role in Scam 1992: Pratik Gandhi:

Amitabh Bachchan asks Pratik Gandhi about his role in one of the most coveted series ‘Scam 1992’. Continuing about his role, he shares, “Sir, when it came to preparing for this role, the biggest aspect was that I had to gain a lot of weight. Firstly, I was told to gain 18 kgs because I was like this from the start and they wanted to see a particular body on camera. So, that was the biggest challenge. And, then to understand the financial world. I’m an engineer, come from a teaching family so, we never had anything to do with the financial world. I always say that we are an ‘FD’ family, one that has never done any business nor investments. It took a lot of time to understand this world and also because the entire script was written in such a way.”(Photo: Instagram)

How Anand changed Big B's life

In the show, Amitabh Bachchan shared his experience when he first witnessed people gawking at him in awe because of his performance in films. He shares, "I had finished working on the film ‘Anand’ and it had been released. The day it was to be released, I’d taken my friend's car because I didn’t have one and neither had the money to fill the petrol. I had to borrow Rs 5 to 10 from someone and went to the nearby petrol station, filled the car tank and paid him the money.” He goes on to say, “In the morning, I was on my way to shoot for another film and the car ran out of petrol. Again, I went to the same petrol station to refuel. Sir (referring to Pankaj Tripathi & Pratik Gandhi), when I came to refuel, there were 4 to 5 people standing and watching. Because at that time, the film, ‘Anand’ had been released. That’s when I realized that people have started recognizing me and that I’ve done something right." (Photo: Instagram)

Pratik Gandhi's basic questions for Amitabh Bachchan

The Friday (October 1) episode was a roller-coaster ride as Pratik gets to ask a few ‘atrangi’ questions to Amitabh Bachchan. The questions are some of the middle class habits – like beating a remote when the battery is low, making ‘pochha’ out of used and worn-out clothes or even wiping hands on clothes after eating. Host Big B's reaction was unmissable. (Photo: Instagram)
