Karanvir Bohra to Jennifer Winget: Popular celebs who scared the audience with their villainous acts on screen

There have been some characters on television who have left quite an impact on people’s life. These characters have scared quite a few with their negative characters in the show, however later in return they got lots of love from their fans after they understood the complexity of it. From Karanvir Bohra playing the character of Viraj Dobriyal to Jennifer Winget playing a grey character as Maya in Beyhadh for the first time, here are other characters who scared the audience on screen with their villainous acts:

Viraj Dobriyal - Karanvir Bohra

Dil Se Di Dua.... Saubhagyavati Bhava was a popular show, due to its popularity of the main lead Viraj Dobriyal, played by Karanvir Bohra. Under the pretext of love, he played Jaanvi's (Sriti Jha) obsessed husband. Karan's superb acting redefined the concept of a possessive husband. Karan was adept in portraying Viraj's two identities, one of which was suave and charming.

Jennifer Winget - Maya

Jennifer was always seen in positive roles in all her shows except for her first ever grey character avatar in her recent show Beyhadh. The show became quite popular. Jennifer played the role of a psychopath girl who was tortured by her father in her childhood. After growing up she took over her grandfather's fashion company and stayed with her mother Jhanvi. She further meets Arjun who joins her company as an employee and later they fall in love. However, it was a love triangle as Arjun’s best friend Saanjh was also in love with him. Maya could go to any limits to keep Arjun to herself and Jennifer’s acting was just outstanding and fans actually were scared of her.

Urvashi Dholakia - Komolika

In the television industry, Komolika is a popular and memorable name. Urvashi Dholakia played Komolika to the T in Ekta Kapoor's sitcom Kasautii Zindagi Kay, and she was recognized for her facial expressions, style, entrance song, and vivid sarees. For the first time, an antagonist made such a strong appearance, and Urvashi was outstanding in the role and became synonymous with Komolika even after several years.

Amrapali Gupta - Tanveer

Amrapali mesmerized everyone with her grey character in Qubool Hai. Even though it was a terrifying role she was definitely very impactful on the show. Amrapali's devious smile took our breath away in the show. She played Karan Singh Grover’s best friend role who secretly was madly in love with him and would do anything to get him.

Shubhaavi Choksey - Juhi

Shubhaavi played the grey character of Juhi in the famous TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hai alongside Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. She was Priya aka Sakshi’s friend who later betrayed her friendship and wanted to be married to Ram but that couldn’t be possible because of Priya. People were in awe of her saree style.

Rashmi Desai - Tapasya

Rashami rose to fame with her role as Tapasya in the show Uttaran. The show was about a rich girl who becomes friends with one of the maid's daughter Ichha and because of her grandmother influences her to hate Tina Dutta they grow apart. Later, Rashmi's character falls in love with Veer (Nandish) but however, he was in love with Ichha. And brought in a lot of hatred between Ichha and Tapasya.

Meghna Malik - Ammaji

Meghna Malik played 'Ammaji' in the drama Naa Aaana Is Des Meri Laado and wowed everyone with her acting abilities. She was portrayed as a harsh matriarch who upheld the age-old customs of mistreating women. Ammaji was well-known for her fiery personality.

Anita Hassanandani - Shagun

Anita played the role of Shagun in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein opposite Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel. Shagun aka Anita Hassanandani of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's sizzling blouses and designer sarees make her look more trendy than any other character in the drama. Her sarees and blouses are so famous that traders refer to them as 'Shagun blouses or Sarees'.

Vamps in films and television are too obvious. Real-life vamps are more subtle and have 50 shades of grey that make it difficult to identify them. A director has to be really good to see them through their mask and portray them for what they really are.
