Call it a TRP raising gimmick, a strategy to extract more money or just perhaps a genuine concern, the celebrities in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao arent all that happy. Reason? The tasks that the contestants are being put through. The extent was one such task, Fill Your Face which was aired a couple of days ago, where contestant Aakashh Deep Saigal had to place his head in a jar filled with bugs and a python for a good nine minutes and earned stars for his camp.
Having done that, to ensure that nothing similar is given to other contestants Chetan Hansraj, Mona Vasu, Shweta Tiwari, Anaida, Aakashh Deep Saigal, Aman Verma, Marc Robinson have decided to storm out of the show.
But Mini Mathur, who was with Aakashh during this task, says: The task wasnt nasty. It was tested on three crew members before it was given out. Besides, Aakashh himself chose not take any medical help. He said, I want to show my camp mates what I have been through. In fact, even after the task he was happy and said, I cant believe that I have done it. I think I will last all eight weeks. But I think other camp mates just lost it and wanted to make sure they didnt have to undergo all this. It is so embarrassing here, nobody has ever done this except our dear Indians.
Fearing that now people would call it a publicity stunt, Mini says: Now people will say all this was scripted. If thats how they want to perceive it, so be it. Whats bothering us is how to get the next episode shot. Im sitting in my room chilling because there is no episode to shoot.
Meanwhile, Gurdip Bhangoo, the programming head, Sony, shared with us the contestants main concerns: The tasks and the ration they are being provided with are the contestants key concerns. It was after Aakashhs face got swollen that the other camp members thought that the tasks given to them were extremely dangerous. The fact is that they are in a Malaysian jungle and have been living on basic food. But this is a part of the shows format. It has happened in the UK and the US too.
