Actor Jatin Arora is celebrating Lohri today with his family. Lohri is celebrated on January 13, which marks the end of winter and the harvest of crops. Rituals involve bonfires, traditional dances, and festive foods.
Last seen in the show Teri Meri Doriyaann, the actor says, "We all would agree that the festivals in India are a medium to celebrate togetherness with family. While every festival is celebrated for a reason, it is also necessary to celebrate it with your loved ones. After my last show ended, I thought of spending time with my family, so I came to Delhi. So this year we are celebrating Lohri together with a bonfire, dhol around us and good food. This goes on till the sun rises."
Jatin further adds, "The weather in Delhi is cold and I am enjoying every bit of it. We also visited Vrindavan a day back and we are planning to visit Ujjain Mahakal with family. And this Lohri will be the beginning of something special for me as my sister is getting married next month."
The actor has been part of shows like Maddam Sir, Sath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, Dosti Ka Naya Maidan and others. He is still in touch with the cast of his last show and misses them. "We have celebrated Lohri on screen while shooting for the show. I miss all that fun and I am still in touch with them," says Jatin.
