It’s about meaningful work, not choosing between mediums: Rohan Mehra
Rohan Mehra is set to headline the upcoming film Madhav and the actor is excited. “I’m playing the titular role of Madhav, a character that carries a lot of depth and responsibility. What makes the story special is how it brings forward the essence of Lord Krishna’s teachings in a modern-day context. Sharing screen space with Ulka Gupta adds to the energy, and we’re excited to begin shooting soon,” he says.
Having worked in TV and films, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor believes each medium has its own strengths. He says, “Films and television are very different. Movies take time and operate on a larger scale, while television has a faster turnaround and immediate connection with the audience. I enjoy being part of both. For me, it’s never about choosing one over the other; it’s about doing meaningful work.”
‘There are times when there’s no work, and that can be challenging’Rohan also opens up about dealing with phases of uncertainty in an actor’s life. “There are times when there’s no work, and that can be challenging. But I believe patience is key. I use that time to work on myself — taking acting classes, improving my craft, and practising meditation to stay grounded.”
He adds, “Spending time with family and staying positive helps me grow during those waiting periods. It’s about being ready when the right opportunity comes.”
