Iconic Vamps of TV who were major trendsetters

Indian Television has had umpteen number of female characters in the shows. But the lady, who is always busy creating problems in the protagonist's life and thus entertaining the audience, is touted as the vamp. Indian TV has a plethora of mean and sharp-minded reel devranis, mothers-in-law or sautans who definitely have been a treat to the eyes. The makeup, stylish attires, hairdos, sarees, and bindis; everything has set trends and has been in vogue. Wuith Hina Khan being the latest actress venturing into Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as an antagonist, here's a look at the vamps who have been major trendsetter on TV. Photo- Instagram.

Komolika- Urvashi Dholakia

Nikkaaa.....with the very mention of this iconic music, one gets the image of Urvashi Dholakia popping up their mind's eye. Her classy lip colours, her style of fiddling with her curly hair-flicks, and her fashionable attires, Komolika went onto become an iconic vamp. She was hated for creating a havoc in the lives of Anurag-Prerna in Kasauti Zindagi Ki but was loved for her cunning and evil portrayal. Photo- Instagram.

Ramona- Sudha Chandran

Sudha Chandran aka Ramona Sikand of Kahin Kisi Roz was one of the few vamps of early 2000s, who seamlessly managed to be mean yet classy at the same time. Mainly known for her forehead- Bindis, Sudha had almost every bizarre and classy Bindi design designed on her forehead. The forehead design was loved so much that it went onto become a trendsetter for many. Right from a vertical line of umpteen number dots on her forehead to a question mark or a scorpion, Sudha was seen sporting it all. Photo- Instageram.

Mandira Bedi- Dr. Mandira Kapadia

This vamp from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi looked innocent and wore the simplest of salwar-kameez. Little did people expect her to turn out into the evil other woman in Mihir's life ruining Tulsi's marital paradise. Her character of Dr. Mandira Kapadia turned into an obsessive lover of Mihir and messed up his and Tulsi's life in the show. Mandira as a vamp, was a prime example of how looks can be deceptive.
