I thought my parents wouldn’t like the fact that I was playing a negative role in my debut TV show: Shivam Khajuria

, who was hoping to make his

small screen debut

with a popular show, had his wish granted when he was selected to play an important role in '

Molkki

.' However, he wasn’t sure what his parents would think about him playing a

negative character

in the show.

He says, “I feel lucky and blessed to be a part of this show. I have always wanted to be a part of Ekta (Kapoor) ma’am’s shows. ‘Molkki’ is a big opportunity for me. I’m sure that the show will do wonders for my career. Since I am a newcomer, my director and co-actors help me a lot on the sets so that I can give my best shot. They are very encouraging and I’m grateful about that.”



Shivam, who plays the role of Naveen in the show, says that despite playing an antagonist, his family supports him wholeheartedly. He says, “My family always supports me and they have been very encouraging about this character as well. Their blessings have helped me get till here and I never felt like I was going through any struggle. I am playing an antagonist and my character doesn't respect girls in the show. In one episode, when they saw me disrespecting women, they actually asked me why I chose to play such a negative role! But it was all good humour and they were pulling my leg. For a while, I actually thought that my parents didn’t like the fact that I made my TV debut with a negative role, but they are happy that I am a part of this popular social drama.”
