Actress Sonya Saamoor has been a part of shows like Nazar, Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Shakti and now she will be seen in the upcoming show Sirf Tum. Talking about life in the last one year, she says, "Everyone's work has suffered due to the pandemic. But the good thing is that I got to spend more time with my family, which isn't possible when you are shooting for a daily soap."
She wants to do work that makes her happy.
"I have said no to a lot of shows because I couldn’t relate to the character. I am picky about the kind of roles I take up and will always be that way. I don't want to do a TV show just for the money or just for the sake of visibility. I would always want to play a strong character on screen rather than take up any random role," she says.
Sonya hopes to try out different mediums now. "I want ti explore different mediums like OTT and films. I want to experiment and not restrict myself to one medium," she says.
Meanwhile she is happy to be a part of the TV show Sirf Tum. "I play this amazing character named Riya. I am excited about it as it's very different from the previous characters that I have portrayed on screen so far," she shares.
