Hina Khan: I used to receive a lot of roses during my college days in Delhi

Rose Day is special for Hina Khan. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress has many fond memories associated with the day. “If you give me flowers, I will be happy. Don’t give me gifts, just send flowers,” says the Gargi College alumna, adding, “I received my first rose from a friend, and we continue to be friends to this day. I used to receive a lot of roses during my college days, not just from men but also from girls in my college.Some of them were friends, some were not. I would also receive letters with those roses aur uss mein shayari likhi hoti thi.”
Hina says that receiving flowers makes one feel special. “A rose or any flower makes you feel special. It is not just a material thing; it is given to you with a lot of feelings. It means someone thought of you and wanted to express their feelings by giving you a flower,” she tells us. The actress adds, “I am making myself available for everyone to give me as many roses as possible. Main kya plan karun, main toh chahti hoon log mere liye plan karein.”
For all the lovebirds celebrating, Hina says, “When you give a rose to someone today, make sure your gesture and feelings are pure.
If there’s no feeling or effort behind this gesture, don’t do it.”
