From Shweta Tiwari to Tejasswi Prakash: TV bahus who won the Bigg Boss trophy

The most awaited reality series Bigg Boss is arriving soon in the month of October with its new season 16. This season there are no rules and regulations that the contestants require to follow. The host of the show Salman Khan announces in the promo that “There's always a first time, and there's always a next time but this is Bigg Boss time.” There are many celebrities whose names have been doing the rounds for the upcoming season like Jannat Zubair, Munawar Faruqui, Vivian Dsena and Kanika Mann. The controversial reality show has seen celebrities from all walks of life and many at times, audiences got a glimpse of TV's leading television bahus in their real life avatars. Let’s take a look at times when the TV Bahus won hearts and the Bigg Boss trophy.

The very first television bahu, who kept everyone hooked to their television screens and played strategically inside the Bigg Boss house is none other than Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress Shweta Tiwari. Shweta won the Bigg Boss 4 trophy and Rs 1 crore in the year 2010. She was considered as one of the leading ladies on TV of that time. Shweta was the first woman to win the Bigg Boss trophy. Now Shweta will soon be seen in her upcoming television show Main Hoon Aparajita.

The Bigg Boss 15 season was an unexpected one as it had contestants from the newly launched series Bigg Boss OTT. Naagin 6 actress Tejasswi Prakash gave tough competition to her rival contestants Shamita Shetty and Pratik Sehajpal. Tejasswi got a lot of fame after winning the Bigg Boss 15 season, the actress also got a new TV show Naagin 6, which is created by Ekta Kapoor. Tejasswi also found her love with actor Karan Kundrra and are known as one of the favourite couples of television.

Another well-known TV bahu Juhi Parmar was also seen in the reality show Bigg Boss 5. Juhi who was famous for her role in Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan won the Bigg Boss 5 trophy and took home 1 crore rupees as the prize money. Juhi was the second to win the trophy after Shweta Tiwari in season 4.

Our famous Simar aka Dipika Kakar is also another famous TV personality that won the Bigg Boss season 12. Dipika is known for role in TV show Sasural Simar Ka. Apart from her famous celebs like Karanvie Bohra, Deepak Thakur and Anup Jalota were also there in the show. Dipika had a strong bond with contestant Sreesanth while she was on the show.

Bigg Boss 14 was a very interesting season and there were lots of differences between the contestants even after being good friends. In this season two past winners Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan and first runner-up Hina Khan from the previous shows stayed with the contestant as their leaders for a few weeks. In Bigg Boss 6, the OG vamp of the television Komolika from Kasautii Zindagii Kay aka Urvashi Dholakia won the winners trophy. Urvashi gained recognition for her appearance in the show. Urvashi also received Rs 50 lakhs along with the trophy.

Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain fame Shilpa Shinde won the Bigg Boss 11 trophy. She had a tough fight in the grand finale with Hina Khan. This season was one of the most watched and loved seasons as there were many tough celebrities like Hina Khan, Priyank Sharma and Vikas Gupta. Shilpa and Hina’s rivalry and fights in the season was liked by the audience. The actresses still do not get along with each other. Shilpa is currently seen as a contestant in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.
