In India, television soap operas enjoy a massive popularity. Small-screen stars like Kapil Sharma, Tejasswi Prakash, and Rupali Ganguly, among others, have fan bases comparable to many Bollywood actors. TV actors' pay is mostly determined by their experience as well as the popularity of their show. Some television stars are paid lakhs of rupees per episode.

Here are some of the highest-paid actors who charge a hefty amount for work:

Rupali Ganguly is the highest-paid television actress in India, and she stars in one of the most popular series, Anupamaa. According to reports, Ganguly has increased her remuneration from Rs 1.5 lakhs to Rs 3 lakh per episode.

Naagin 6 fame Tejasswi Prakash, who has got a huge fan base, charges up to Rs 2 lakhs per episode as per reports.

According to sources, Divyanka Tripathi, widely recognised for her character Ishita in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, charges approximately Rs 1 lakh every episode. Tripathi has also appeared in Nach Baliye 8 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, as well as hosting other award programmes.

Naagin 5 fame Hina Khan, who walked the Cannes red carpet, reportedly charges Rs 2 lakh for each episode of a TV show. She rose to prominence as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and was most recently seen as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. She appeared on Bigg Boss 11 in 2017 and eventually landed as the first runner-up. She has recently appeared in several music videos.

Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Mein actress Ayesha Singh charges approximately charges upto Rs 80,000 per episode. The actress who recently quit the show became quite popular and is rumoured to be featuring as the lead actor in Ekta Kapoor produced Naagin 7.

Anupamaa actor Gaurav Khanna, who is loved by the audience for his character Anuj, earns up to Rs 1.5 lakhs per episode according to the reports.

Kundali Bhagya fame Sriti Jha reportedly charges up to Rs 75,000 to 1 lakh per episode. Sriti was last seen in an action reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 and was loved by the audience in the show.

Jennifer Winget, who has appeared in Saraswatichandra, Bepannah, and Beyhadh, according to reports, charges Rs 1.5 lakh for each episode. Winget appeared in Bollywood films such as Akele Hum Akele Tum, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gaya, and Kuch Na Kaho as a child artist.

Harshad has never failed to impress his fans be it in Left Right Left as Cadet Ali Baig or Raghavendra Pratap Singh in Saubhagyavati Bhava. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor approximately charges Rs 3 lakhs per episode.

Kundali Bhagya fame Dheeraj impressed everyone with his charming looks and acting in the show with Shraddha Arya. Reportedly, the actor charges Rs 2 lakhs per episode.

Shraddha Arya, from Kundali Bhagya, earns approximately Rs 1 lakh every episode. The actress' monthly pay reportedly ranges from Rs 40 and 45 lakhs.

Kapil Sharma according to reports earn up to Rs 50 lakhs per episode in The Kapil Sharma Show. The talk show debuted in April 2016 and quickly became one of the most-watched programmes in the country.
