From reacting to TMKOC's Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat's engagement rumours to recalling an elderly lady's reaction to his character in Pushpa Impossible; OG Tapu aka Bhavya Gandhi shares memorable anecdotes

Bhavya Gandhi entertained his fans for more than a decade with his character Tapu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. After leaving the show, Bhavya ventured into Gujarati Cinema. He also made his Bollywood debut with Kesari Veer this year and had an interesting cameo in Pushpa Impossible, marking his comeback on TV. In a recent chat on Manan Desai's Lavari, Bhavya reacted to the rumours from his former show, fans' reaction and more.

Bhavya reacted to the engagement rumours and how he received the calls reacting to the news, he said, "Firstly, the Tapu they were seeking wasn't me. And the rumours happened to be in Baroda, so my mom and I got a lot of calls during that time about this, and I had to clarify to them that yes, I played the character of Tap, but it wasn't me.

Bhavya recalled, "I still remember there were 500 kids who auditioned for Tapu. And I was one of them. I always feel fortunate to be a part of the show. Tapu has been an integral part of my life and my acting journey."

Om recalls an incident during Bhavya's film promotions. Fans were waiting for them to arrive from the lift, and one of them asked the liftman whether Tapu had arrived. And the liftman shared that he did come with his Tapu Sena. Mistaking the film's actors for Bhavya's iconic Tapu Sena from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Talking about Bhavya's mischiefs on the sets of their film, Aarohi shared that he is exactly like his onscreen character Tapu. That character hasn't left him a bit. He would tie the laces of his co-star's shoes amid their film promotion visits. Or trouble everyone on the set with his mischief.

Pushpa Impossible, being one of the loved shows currently, the show has a great fanbase, especially in Gujarat. Bhavya shared, "An elderly lady yelled at me for troubling Pushpa in the show. I had to tell her that I had only a cameo and my track was over. Though doing a negative role for the first was an exhilarating experience for me."
