It has been a super eventful week for the Telly industry with a lot of buzz around big announcements, TV celebs opening up about their personal life, and Sunil Grover returning as Dr Mashoor Gulati. Anupamaa’s Rupali Ganguly, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Palak, Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka’s Shivya, and others opened up about their struggles, trolls, personal life, and more. Akanksha Puri who entered Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti quite recently seems to have won Mika Singh’s heart. The show is all set for its finale on July 25 and the audience can just not stop wondering about who will win the show and become Mika Singh’s bride. Speculations are that Mika’s close friend for over 13 years Akanksha Puri is going to win the show and become Mika’s bride.

Celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is gearing up with its new season this year. The show is returning after over 5 years with celebrity judges Nora Fatehi, Madhuri Dixit, and Karan Johar. With several contestants' names coming up, ETimesTV has been informed that B Praak is approached for the show. Talks are on with the famous singer however, there’s no confirmation about his response on the same yet.

Rupali Ganguly, who rose to major fame from family daily soap Anupamaa, has not had it all easy. The actress is one of the most famous TV celebs today however, she has had her fair shares of struggles. Rupali in an exclusive interview with ETimesTV revealed that she has worked as a waitress in a boutique to support her family financially. The actress shared “I had a film background but I had promised my father that I won’t ever lose my dignity and that’s how he allowed me to become a heroine. But then I couldn’t handle how the industry worked then, especially the casting couch thing. I decided I can’t deal with it. I stepped out and started doing hotel management from Dadar Catering. I continued doing plays along with it. I had to also support my family so I had to work as papa was not keeping well. I worked in boutiques, I was working as a waiter at my catering college. I would get Rs 180 an hour. I was constantly working and doing different jobs. I would also do plays but I didn’t get anything in terms of money."

Dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla is all set to unfold its curtains after 5 years with its 10th season. With celebrity judges Nora Fatehi, Madhuri Dixit, and Karan Johar on board, the show has approached several famous stars. A source close to ETimesTV has confirmed that renowned chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar have been approached to participate in the show as well. However, nothing has been finalised yet.

Shehnaaz Gill, who rose to major fame from Bigg Boss 13, has not stopped being in the limelight ever since. From debuting her first film with Salman Khan to getting featured in Rhea Kapoor’s next project, the girl is just unstoppable. A source close to ETimesTV has revealed that “Like Rhea’s previous film Veere Di Wedding (2018), her upcoming movie is also a women-oriented subject. Shehnaaz is the latest to join the cast of the film, which is slated to go on floors by the end of this month. This film will see Shehnaaz in a different avatar.”

Fans have been majorly missing Sunil Grover aka Mashoor Gulati. But not anymore. He is making a comeback. The comedian and actor will be entertaining the audience in a doctor avatar on India’s laughter challenge. The promo of the comedy show revealed “Aa rahe hai Dr Mashoor Gulati our comedy ke surma aapko hasi se lot-pot karne! Dekhiye India's Laughter Champion, shanivaar aur ravivaar, raat 9:30 baje.” Sunil Grover fans are super excited to have him back on screen.

Palak Sindhwani aka Sonu, who has worked her way up in the Telly industry, recently talked about her early struggle days. The actress reveals that she has changed houses in Mumbai to save Rs 2000. She even talks about how much she struggled to make it this big in the industry. The actress adds “I used to stay in PGs and have changed a lot of houses in Mumbai. I would change houses in Mumbai so that I could save Rs 2000. Finally, we shifted to a 1BHK, then a 2BHK apartment and now finally I am staying in a 3BHK apartment which is also on rent. I want to buy my own house and I am planning to see when it happens. My growth has been steady and I consider myself lucky that I’ve seen all the phases in my life.”

Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa’s marital issues have been making a buzz for quite some time. The couple, who is having a rough patch in their relationship, has taken a legal route and decided to call it to quit for good. While Rajeev is accusing his estranged wife Charu of keeping him in the dark about her first marriage, the latter on the other hand is making several accusations about him as well. Recently, the news about Sushmita Sen unfollowing her bother Rajeev came up. Rajeev decided to throw light on the situation and confirm that Sushmita never followed him in the first place. In an exclusive interview, the actor said “It is being said by the media that my sister unfollowed me on Instagram. However, the reality is that she never followed me on Instagram. So, this piece of news cracks me up and it needs to be told. Secondly, the only place she is following me is on Twitter and that, too, for long. The media is also claiming that my sister is following my wife Charu and is thus, supporting her. All I can say is that my sister is smart enough to know where we stand and by now everyone has understood how simple my wife is, as she has mastered the art of playing the victim card.”

Shivya told us, “Instagram is my page. It’s one platform, where I pour out my feelings. I write poems, shayaris. People troll me for that also, asking if I am upset about something as I am sharing poems. I remember, four years back I was badly trolled while doing Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka. That time, Instagram wasn’t that popular. I got so badly trolled on Youtube that I came home and cried. You won’t believe I told the makers to replace me and take some other actress. I was shooting in Jaisalmer. I am from Himachal and my body couldn’t take the heat. I had swollen up. My face and my legs had all swollen up. So when my promo was shot and in my entry scene, I was looking like a football. People trolled so badly. I cried the entire night.”

Charu Asopa is making headlines quite a lot recently for her marital issues with her estranged husband Rajeev Sen. The two have taken a legal route for their relationship and have decided to part ways. The news of Rajeev’s sister Sushmita unfollowing him but still being in touch with her wife recently made headlines. However, Charu decided to come forward and clear the air. Kanwar revealed how he broke the ice and initiated the talk with Alice. He said that initially the two had a lot of nok-jhok but that soon turned it's a sweet bond. The actor talks about how he fell in love with Alice and said “It was a gradual process and not instant. We shared beautiful chemistry on screen, which eventually transformed into real chemistry. Unknowingly, we are similar to our characters — Shiva and Raavi. We would joke about how it would be so chaotic or difficult to play Shiva-Raavi in real life because they are so different and yet, we grew fond of each other over time.
