From Mehjabi Siddiqui to Manveer Gurjar: What are these commoner contestants from Bigg Boss up to?

Bigg Boss 17 is underway and in some of the previous seasons, several commoners got a chance to participate in this controversial reality show. They showed everyone the commoner power inside the house and also won hearts. Let’s take a look at where these commoner contestants are now and what they are up to:

Bigg Boss 10 had opened the doors for the commoners for the first time. Manveer Gurjar was a farmer from Aghapur in Noida. Recently he shared a video when Bigg Boss OTT 2 was showing his support for Elvish Yadav. In Manveer’s season, he lifted the trophy.

Nitibha was 23 back then and a marketing profesisonal. She is from Kashmir and now has 1M followers on social media. Nitibha is now an influencer, enterpreneur and won many awards as well. She started her own silce jewellery line.

Though her stint in the house was a short one but Lokesh Kumari, who was a student back then, got her share of limelight and became everyone's favourite including host Salman Khan. She underwent a major fitness transformation for the show and did a few reality shows.

Priyanka Jagga, a marketing recruiter, was prompted to leave Bigg Boss house due to her use of foul words. Salman reprimanded Priyanka for her hurtful comments about Manu Punjabi's late mother in a private conversation. Post the show, Priyanka has led a private life though she posts occasionally on social media.

Navin Prakash, a teacher, entered Bigg Boss 10 as a commoner. He recently did a film titled ‘Coat’, which was released in August this year.

Jyoti Kumari was a student when she participated in Bigg Boss 11. Jyoti came across as a girl-next-door but post the show, she stunned all with her transformation pictures looking completely different.

Mehjabi Siddiqui, a housewife, who was seen in Bigg Boss 11, had quit showbiz in February 2022. She is currently following a religious and spiritual path. She would post videos in traditional attire on social media. About quitting showbiz, she had mentioned Sana Khan had inspired her.

Bigg Boss 12 contestant Sourabh Patel had entered the show as a farmer. He became an actor then and has done several music videos as well.

Sisters Saba and Somi Khan won hearts and entertained fans. While Saba was a front office manager in a hotel, sister Somi was working as a sales manager when they did BB12. Later, both the sisters entered the entertainment industry and did several TV shows and music videos.

A policeman from Haryana, Nirmal Singh entered the show as a commoner. However, during the elimination Nirmal and standing against good friend and lawyer Romil Chaudhary, and they had to decide amongst themselves, who should get evicted. Nirmal walked out of the show. Not much is known about him post the show.

Romil Chaudhary, a lawyer by profession, won a lot of female adulation. Romil underwent a major physical transformation. He also did a TV show titled Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, which feature Dipika Kakar Ibrahim and Karan V Grover.

Deepak Thakur, a singer by profession, had given voice for Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap's films. Deepak has continued singing apart from doing occasional music videos. He also keeps giving glimpses of his personal life. He posted several videos sharing his opinion on Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestants.

Urvashi Vani had entered the show as an ardent admirer of Deepak Thakur. Belonging from Patna, Urvashi shared several pictures from her photoshoot and personal life.

A businesswoman back then, Roshmi Banik turned to vlogging. Her photos on social media give a glimpse of her lavish lifestyle, travel diaries, photoshoots and more.
