From Manisha Rani, Awez Darbar to Sagar Parekh; Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11's 6 wildcard contestants get candid about entering the show, competition, injuries and more

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11's upcoming weekend is set to introduce the 6 wildcard contestants. Awez Darbar with choreographer Vaishnavi Patil, Dhanashree Verma with choreographer Sagar Anjaya Bora, Manisha Rani with choreographer Ashutosh Pawar, Sagar Parekh with choreographer Shivani Patel, RJ Glenn Saldanha with choreographer Arundhati Garnaik and Nikhita Gandhi with choreographer Vipul Kandpal.

The talented wild card entries are all set to shake things up and bring an added layer of excitement to the already fierce competition. However, Malaika Arora reveals from the 6 wildcard contestants only 4 of them will continue with their journey. Take a look at what they had to share about being a part of the show

Social media sensation Awez Darbar

Awez Darbar got candid with ETimes TV about entering Jhalak, "I am very excited to be a part of the show and I’ve almost seen all the seasons of the show. I have always visualised myself being there on the show whenever I’ve watched it on television. Main humesha sochta tha “agar main wahan hota toh kya karta”. I used to plan a lot in my mind and would imagine myself on the Jhalak stage and today I’m here. So the feeling is overwhelming and it can’t be described in words."

He further added, "I want to make it clear that now in the show, only dancing doesn’t matter or dancers don't matter. Recently, I saw a battle between Sangeeta Phogat and Vivek Dahiya, Vivek who dances better than Sangeeta got eliminated that day when the two were in the bottom two. Sangeeta got saved because she did a hilarious comedy act. She scored 10 from all the three judges. So it doesn’t matter how good a dancer you are on Jhalak, anyone can win the show. I would like to give my 100 percent to the show because after seeing that I’ve realised that you can’t just win the show based on just dancing, you have to become excellent."

Anupamaa's Samar aka Sagar Parekh

Sagar exclusively shared with ETimes TV his excitement to be a part of Jhalak, "It is very exciting. It is a surreal moment for me. The show has been coming for so many years. I wasn't even a part of the Industry back then and I used to watch it, now that I am going to perform on the stage. I am nervous, but at the same time, I have a lot of mixed emotions about being a part of the show. I am not scared of the stunts, but when I go home with those bruises and my body aching it feels like I have fought a war and returned. Every day is a struggle, acting for 12 hours is different and dancing every day for 12 hours is completely different. You are dancing non-stop against time, so it is quite difficult and that affects you a lot."

Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame and Social media sensation Manisha Rani

Manisha exclusively shared with ETimes TV, "I have loved dancing since childhood but I have never taken any formal training or learnt dancing. I always wanted to do a dancing show and finally, it has come true. I am elated that I will be performing in front of three talented and well-known judges, who are such big names from their fields Arshad sir, Farah and Malaika ma'am. They are so experienced and they will be giving me comments on my acts and it is nothing short of a dream. As I've never learnt dancing in my life, this is going to be a big challenge for me as I've always danced on 30-second reels or dance music videos which have retakes but this is the first time I will be dancing in one take. It is very tough and I don't want to give up, I am going to give my full energy. This is going to be my first opportunity to perform on such a big stage and in front of these stalwarts in one take. People saw me on OTT the last time, but now the television audience will get to see me and it is very exciting."

Renowned dancer and dentist Dhanashree Verma

Indian Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's lady love Dhanashree Verma shared, "Entering Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a wild card contestant is going to be an exhilarating journey filled with dance and passion for me. I have worked relentlessly on honing my skills as a dancer, and now it's time to put them to the test. My injury was a setback, but it taught me resilience and the importance of never giving up and this will be the ultimate test for me as I step into the spotlight once again. I am aware that this journey might be physically and mentally demanding, but I am prepared to face it head-on. I have a wonderful support system and coupled with my passion for dance, it will help me make the most of this coveted platform.”

6/7

Popular singer who has given many hits Nikhita Gandhi

Popular singer Nikhita Gandhi exclusively shared with ETimes TV, "I am quite excited to be a part of the show. This is the first time I will be a part of a proper TV show. My singing career has grown in a non-competitive space. I have not been a part of any singing competition or reality show. Now that I have come to Jhalak as a celebrity it seems quite cool and I love dancing so I am thrilled to embark on this new journey. Sreeram and I perform shows together and both of us love dancing so we always dance while singing our songs. He has come from Indian Idol, he is very competitive, I am more of a person who wants to have fun and not focus on competition."

7/7

Glenn Saldanha aka the popular RJ Glenn

Popular RJ, Glenn Saldanha shared, "I am thrilled to be a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a wild card contestant! This journey holds a special place in my heart as it is a personal voyage of rediscovery and self-expression. Dancing has been a passion of mine since childhood, and it has always been a part of who I am. However, as life unfolded, I set aside my dancing dreams for a while. But now, after a hiatus of 18 long years, I am reclaiming my passion for dance and pursuing it once again. It’s a chance to reconnect with my true self. This journey is not just about dancing but about embracing the joy, the challenges, and the triumphs that come with pursuing one's dreams. I am ready to dance like nobody's watching and I hope to inspire others to do the same!"
