From managing Aari and Jaydon's school PTMs, new schedules to focusing on fitness; Dalljiet Kaur's routine in Nairobi is filled with adventures and family time

After her second marriage with Nikhil Patel, Dalljiet Kaur shifted to Nairobi, Kenya to start a new life with her family. The actress has adjusted to the new life quite well in Kenya. Take a look at a glimpse of what Dalljiet has been up to in Nairobi and how she manages her schedule with two kids, her workout regime and work.

She is now in high school and we have to go see her classes and everything." Dalljiet added, "It is our first impression at school for Aari, She is a high school girl now and we are not going to be late."

Dalljiet shared a loving video of Aari and Jaydon's first Raksha Bandhan. She also wrote a loving caption describing their bond,"Jaydon’s first Rakhi with Aari, who also represented all his sisters. She tied Rakhi for Jaydon’s sisters Aani, Gunu and Aarshia who are in different parts of the world. May god bless all your five siblings with prosperity, health, happiness, success, luck and much much more in life. May you grow up to realise the power of having siblings … no matter how far from each other. God bless you 5"

Dalljiet is getting back to focusing on weight loss and fitness

Dalljiet took to her Instagram and posted a video of her regime with which she shared how she is going ahead with achieving her target of losing weight to 50kg. She wrote, "Makes me stronger? Well, it’s subjective. Twenty years back achieving a target related to my health was simpler … easier … quicker… It’s tougher now but consistency has to overcome this problem eventually. I have finally become committed to my health and I want to do what’s best for me now."

She further added, "To all the mummies out there… who don’t get time because of the crazy schedule of kids. I get it. But plz take out fifteen minutes in a day … for yourself! It’s a long way to go for me to be able to say I did it! But for now, being able to reach the gym every single day … is a super feeling."

Jaydon settling into the new school and schedules

During a QnA, Dalljiet opened up about Jaydon enjoying the new experiences, she stated, "The kids are doing great, it is a good change for Jaydon. The new school is also very nice, he is making new friends and having new experiences. He does miss his old friends but he is quite excited to have new experiences in life so I am really happy to see him happy. Aari is also doing good, it's nice to see them happy."

Visiting new cities and beaches around the continent

Dalljiet and Nikhil make sure they keep their weekends free from work and visit new cities around the continent. Recently, the duo visited Watamu Beach for a friend's birthday over the weekend. Talking about the experience, Dalljiet shared, "It was an amusing experience, people don't know what this continent has. Kenya itself has so many amazing beaches. The most favourite part of this trip was going snorkelling, however, I lasted for 20 minutes." Earlier, the duo went for a small gateway in Masai Mara.

Dalljiet understands Nikhil's schedules and pre-planning

While sharing about her transition, Dalljiet shared how Nikhil often follows pre-planned schedules and has fixed weekly menus for the family. Talking about pre-planning, "For Nikhil, everything is written, planned and scheduled. But for me, it is always an impromptu decision. These are two completely different worlds. People from Mumbai will relate to me as we are always on the edge. Nothing is planned, we often go with the flow and prompt decisions. But here everything is planned, you can actually plan a week and follow it."

She further shared about the fixed menu, "Here it is planned that way, we go shopping once a week, we know what we will eat for that week and what shall be packed in lunch for kids for that week. It makes things easy and efficient." Dalljiet adds, "It keeps me at peace too as I don't need to worry about what the kids have all the time. Growing up my mom always spoke about food and I wondered why she doesn't speak about anything else, but for 3 weeks all I have been talking about is food. I am a mamma now."

She had also shared pictures from her interaction with Masai women.

Quitting TV but open to pick short-term projects in web

During a Q n A session, a fan asked Dalljiet whether she had quit TV. Dalljiet confirmed, "Yes, I have quit doing TV serials because I have gotten married and I don't want to stay away from my family. I am all up for web shows as a commitment for a few months is possible with a good role or something that I am keen on but staying away from the family for a year or more isn't possible. I am looking forward to my career ahead. Work is happening in Kenya too. I am soon going to do something amazing here with my production house so work shall continue but daily soap may not be possible anymore."
