Kapil Sharma and wife Ginni Chatrath welcomed their baby girl on December 10. The comedian, who had got married the same month in 2018, was overjoyed with the arrival of their little bundle of joy. He shared the news on his social media handle and told BT, "I am ecstatic. The feeling is beyond words. Ginni and I always wanted a girl and we are happy that we’ve been blessed with one. We can’t thank God enough for our beautiful angel."

On December 14, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame Karan Patel and wife Ankita welcomed their first child, a baby girl, who they have named Mehr. The couple kept the news of their pregnancy under wraps for a long time and it is only later that Karan confirmed the news. After the delivery, Karan shared his joy with TimeOfIndia.com. He said, "I am numb, overjoyed and a little intimidated. It is the only soul who has given me such emotions all at one go."

Jay and Mahhi became biological parents for the first time as the latter delivered Tara, their baby girl, in August. Priya Ahuja, who plays the role of Rita Reporter in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, gave birth to a baby boy on November 27. The actress, who is married to Taarak's chief director Malav Rajda, made the most of her pregnancy days by baby moon-ing in Maldives, dolling up for her maternity shoot and celebrating her baby shower with close friends and family. Priya had announced the news of the arrival of her little one in the sweetest way. She had written, ""Our home has grown by two feet! ITS A BOY!! We are overwhelmed with the joy!!"

Surveen Chawla, who tied the knot secretly in 2015, delivered a baby girl on April 15 this year. The couple named their bundle of joy as Eva. Talking to BT about the big news, Surveen had said, "The feeling can’t be described in words. It’s something to be experienced. We feel so blessed." It is in December 2017 that Surveen had disclosed in the media she was married. The ceremony was held in Northern Italy, and attended only by family and close friends.

Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Saumya Tandon welcomed her little bundle of joy, Mirran Singh Tandon, on January 18. First pictures of her son were shared in March.
