From Jasmin Bhasin to Devoleena Bhattacharjee; TV actresses who got slammed for being in an interfaith relationship

Television celebs are often under the scanner of their fans and viewers. Often their personal life decisions come out as a point of trolls and slams. Time and again many TV actresses have been trolled for marrying or being in a relationship with Muslim men.

Recently, Jasmin Bhasin visited Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The actress was seen wearing a burqa. As everyone knows Jasmin is in a relationship with Aly Goni and the duo is adored by their ship name Jasly. However, some trollers couldn't see the diva in a burqa and commented, "Ali goni ko to nhi dekha mandir mein", and another user wrote, "Love jihad se bache".

A user also asked Jasmin to take Aly to Gurudwara, "Unfollow!!! Sikh hoke yeh sab flop lady!!! Love jihad !!! Such a shame!!!! Usko le jaati gurudwre pagg pehn k nai jaata woh!! Shame!"

Devoleena Bhattacharjee married her longtime love, Shahnawaz, and the actress faced intense backlash for their interfaith union. Devo has been receiving a lot of hate mails from her followers, who make crude remarks about her over the Aftab Poonawala case, such as "Rest in fridge."

However, when Himanshi posted a picture wearing a black burqa the actress was heavily trolled. When Rakhi Sawant revealed that she got married to Adil Khan Durrani and accepted Islam, the actress was heavily trolled by the netizens. Her marriage was also compared to the Aftab Poonawala case. Later, when the actress opened up about embracing Islam, she was yet again trolled for her inappropriate outfits and also schooled by many followers to learn from Sana Khan how to follow the religion and respect its restrictions.

When Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan fell for each other in the Bigg Boss house, netizens weren't happy with their relationship. Many trolled the duo and slammed Pavitra for falling for 'Love Jihad'. The actress wrote back to the trolls and slammed them for spreading hate in their name. She wrote, “Dear trollers ... kindly stop spreading HATE and this highly unacceptable comment on my and #eijazkhan relationship. We purely love each other and INDEED we do not need the approval of ‘Haters’ in best regards to OUR relationship. Blessed #us #pavijaz.”

In the initial years of marriage, Dipika faced a lot of backlash and was trolled under the label of 'Love Jihad', the actress converted her religion to Islam for her marriage, however, the actress had to bear the brunt of her step from netizens.
