From Jannat Zubair to Hiba Nawab: TV celebs who refused to do intimate scenes

A few performers have continuously been candid about their preferences and decisions when it comes to their projects. Despite the fact that many artists are trying with many genres and channels, some have been highly adamant about not performing up-close or risque scenes on TV or any other medium. Many actors have refused to do intimate scenes on television or on web. Here are some of the actors who denied doing bold or intimate scenes:

2/12

Jannat Zubair

Jannat Zubair, who just appeared on Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, has declared on numerous occasions that she will never perform personal sequences on television because she is not okay with it. When Jannat was doing a TV show, she was asked to do an intimate scene but she had refused and had told ETimes TV then: “I will not lock lips on-screen even if I am paired opposite a superstar. That’s out of the question. I am not dependent on this profession for my bread and butter, so I can’t be forced to do anything. There won’t be any kissing scenes and the team can’t use my body double either, to perform something I am not comfortable with."

Anushka Sen

Anushka Sen, who made headlines recently for travelling to South Korea for her film debut, had claimed that she would not perform personal scenes on television. When asked if she agreed with Jannat Zubair on not doing intimate scenes on television, she said, “I am very careful before choosing roles and my parents are always there. So, I don't think I would land up in such a situation. We always discuss scripts with each other and together make a decision. And in case I do, I will not do a kissing scene. I think Jannat took the right decision and even I would do the same. I would not do a role that is older than me because I don't look like someone above 17-18 years. Also, I won't take up a typical romantic role as I want to do challenging roles. I would do it when the time is right. I will always take up roles that are close to my age. I would do romantic roles at the right time when I feel it's the right age.”

Erica Fernandes

Erica Fernandes has always been outspoken about her likes and dislikes. Erica earlier told ETimes TV that she does not want to do intimate sequences for television or web productions. Erica stated “I am not comfortable doing bold shows and content and I am quite open about it. I have been offered quite a few shows until now. There have been shows that came my way and had bold content and I have said no to them because sometimes I feel they are forcefully added to the show to sell.”

5/12

Vivian Dsena

Not only actresses, but certain TV actors, notably Shakti's Vivian Dsena, have declined to appear in personal sequences. Vivian, who previously indicated that he dislikes filming romantic sequences, has stated that he does not 'feel at ease' kissing his co-stars on television. He thinks it is not required for him to execute a kissing scene on tv.

6/12

Hiba Nawab

Hiba Nawab, who is currently seen playing the role of Sayuri in Woh Toh Hai Albela, earlier revealed to ETimes TV that she is working on a web series. Hiba said “I would want to be a part of it. But honestly, what’s stopping me is the bold content. I am not comfortable exposing myself or doing bold scenes. I do get calls and the moment I ask if there are any kissing or intimate scenes, they say yes. My family is not in favour of it. As an individual, I am also not comfortable.”

7/12

Mahira Sharma

Mahira Sharma, one of Bigg Boss 13's most well-known competitors, told ETimes TV in an interview that she is uncomfortable performing intimate sequences on camera. When we asked the actress if she would be ready to do a daring sequence on-screen in the future, she said yes. She further added “I'm against doing bold scenes because I think if I am doing some work I should be able to watch it comfortably with my family. Also, I myself am not comfortable doing bold scenes therefore I prefer taking up projects that do not require bold scenes from my character.”

8/12

Pavitra Punia

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Pavitra Punia previously revealed that she declined to work on a show because she was requested to do an intimate scene. She also admitted that she is unable to execute an intimate sequence on screen due to her anxiety about doing so.

9/12

Mahhi Vij

Mahhi Vij is wary of her co-stars, despite the fact that her husband Jay Bhanushali appeared in his film debut Hate Story 2. She had cold feet during a love sequence in Balika Vadhu in which co-star Ruslaan Mumtaz had to brush his lips against hers.

10/12

Kratika Sengar

Even Kasam actress Kratika Sengar admitted to being uncomfortable performing intimate sequences on-screen. Kratika, who co-starred with Ssharad Malhotra, declined to do any intimate moments with her co-stars and notified the production staff ahead of time. Even Ekta Kapoor did not object to the actress' hesitation and instead prepared for a body double and had no objections to the team's chosen option.

11/12

Iqbal Khan

Iqbal Khan believes that the majority of TV viewers are families, hence he has vowed never to kiss on camera. The actor also performed an intimate moment in a film but chose to defend his decision on television. According to reports, he was dissatisfied with the film's personal sequence and hence decided never to kiss. He, on the other hand, has no qualms with executing love moments that define a limit and aren't over the top.

12/12

Gauahar Khan

Gauahar Khan, the Bigg Boss 7 winner, is another actress who has denied appearing in any intimate moments on television or in online series. The actor, who just finished a web series, formally claimed that she would never do any romantic sequences on screen. She added that because of these demands, she has refused to take part in numerous shows.
