From injuring his foot to hiding from paps to keep his return on Laughter Chefs 2 a secret; Aly Goni reveals his comeback story

Television actor Aly Goni, who impressed one and all with his cooking skills in Laughter Chefs 1, returned to season 2 recently. The actor shared a Vlog from his first day of shooting and expressed his happiness to be back on the show. During the video, Aly revealed how the entire team of Laughter Chefs has been missing him on the show and how he kept the news of his return under wraps from his co-stars. Aly Goni expressed his happiness about his return in the vlog. He said, "I am so happy to be back on the sets and meet the new people. I missed the Laughter Chefs sets so much and finally after a lot of discussions with the team, I am back. Sometimes you can't say no to a project because the love for it is so much. Earlier I was not able to do the show due to my dates. There were a lot of issues with my date, but I somehow managed to do it because I wanted to be a part of the show." (Photo: Instagram)

Aly who was part of Laughter Chefs season 1 could not do the show due to his unavailability. However, fans continued to demand his return and the makers had to bring him back. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor shared that even though he wasn't part of season 2, his co-stars from the show used to always message him in their common group about how much they missed him. He said, "We have a common group in which everyone is always messaging. Bharti didi, Krushna bhai in the beginning used to always send me voice notes saying "Aly yaar miss you yaar". Aly Goni further shared in the video how he kept the news of his return a secret from his co-stars. He said, "The best part is that nobody knows that I'm coming back. I know Nia and Reem are also returning but I haven't told them that I'm coming. The creative team had asked me to not inform anyone as they wanted a surprise reaction of everyone. Both of them are going to abuse them a lot. It is going to be a surprise for both of them. In fact, Nia even called me in the morning and she was going for the shoot. She wrote I will miss you yaar, I wanted to write I'll also miss you, but I wished her all the best." (Photo: Instagram)

The actor revealed that Reem had called him and expressed how much she was going to miss him. However, he comforted her and assured her that she would be just fine, as there are other celebrities participating as well. To keep his return to Laughter Chefs Season 2 a secret, Aly went the extra mile. He revealed that he got ready at home for the shoot. He avoided doing his makeup on set because his name on the vanity van would have given away the surprise to everyone. He shared, "The channel asked me to get ready at home and my staff has come home. Aly during his vlog was seen waiting in the car, hiding from the paparazzi. He revealed, "Guys, we are waiting here, we have been here for an hour and half. We are outside the set, the paps are still on the sets and the creative team is not letting me enter. I am waiting in one lane, and the rest of them are in some other lane. After waiting, Aly Goni finally reached the sets and captured everyone's reaction. Reem teased Aly about how he kept asking her about her partner and other stuff but did not reveal about his return. After the fun filled shoot, when Aly returned home he revealed that he met with a knee injury on the set. He said, 'I was returning from the vanity and when I jumped it felt like I twisted my knee. The pain is unbearable. If it doesn't get any better then I would have to visit the hospital at the soonest. It has barely been one day of shooting for Laughter Chefs and this happened.' The next day Aly was headed to the hospital as he couldn't sleep due to the severe pain. The doctors then suggested that he must get an MRI done. Jasmin and Aly then reached for the MRI and were hopeful that nothing had happened. He then updated, 'Old injuries have aggravated, so now the doctor shared that the old injuries have added to the pain and I need to rest. I can't go to the gym for some time now.' (Photo: Instagram)
