From emotional breakdown in Bigg Boss OTT 2 to being trolled for her weight: Aashika Bhatia's life has not been easy

Aashika Bhatia has been one of the famous child artists on TV with her show Parvarrish, the actress also made it to Bollywood with Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and went on to do an interesting role in Shweta Tiwari's web series Hum Tum Aur Them. Well, now the actress has entered the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, take a look at her journey and the major things that she went through in this journey from being a child artist to a BB contestant.

Aashika who recently entered the Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a wildcard contestant was seen breaking down in tears when Jiya Shankar called her inactive and not a wildcard material. She along with other housemates kept on triggering Aashika during the Weekend Ka Vaar which further led to an emotional breakdown. She added, “I am very disturbed with what happened in the house today. Everyone is targeting me I cannot be fake if I get fake then my mother and even myself would not be real. This is real me and I cannot change it.”

Elvish is known for his roast videos on YouTube, the vlogger had once roasted Aashika Bhatia during lockdown and brutally fat-shamed her. At first, Aashika was not aware of the roast but when she came to know about it she had written a long post slamming Elvish. Aashika said she was also going to file a police complaint against him. In the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, Aashika shared this incident with Bebika, when they confronted Elvish about the same, Elvish said that he had also shared another video apologising to Aashika.

Aashika returned to Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 after a drastic weight loss. The actress followed a strict regime to maintain her weight and underwent a transformation for the show. However, netizens weren't impressed with the actress and instead of complimenting her journey, they trolled her. From calling it an eating disorder to surgery, fans commented “How miserable misleading can you be girl. And you call yourself an influencer??? Shame.”

Another user wrote, “You have idea right how misleading info you are giving us? You have millions of followers, lady… you shouldn’t lie about your weight loss journey. You warning people not to follow this will change their minds? God… just admit you had liposuction. There’s no need to be ashamed of it.” One more user said, “She is promoting eating disorder but in a sly way… Eating disorders exist but we gotta face the devil Don't Promote it Like it's nothing. She has a large following and she is absolutely wrong about doing this”.

During Lockdown, Aashika had gained weight, however, the actress was quite comfortable with the way she was but netizens trolled her massively for her weight gain. Every time she posted a video or reel, the comments constantly read as 'Moti, Bhains, kam khaya kar and so on'. Her ex-boyfriend Roshan Gupta was also trolled for dating her.

As an influencer, Aashika often collaborated with brands, but not always things were profitable for the brand. Aashika was once called out by a start-up for taking outfits worth Rs 15,000 and not returning them. The retail brand took to their social media to share the matter and wrote, "So, I had Collaborated with Aashika Bhatia for 7 products which involved more than 15K of investment which is a very big thing for a page like mine who cannot afford a loss at such a stage. Even after being in touch with her by texting her regularly, I got no replies from her after she got the products she never replied to. So I contacted her mother Minu Bhatia via WhatsApp but she kept on delaying it and saying tomorrow, the day after, not now, busy( giving me reasons). She even changed the collaboration terms suddenly even when Aashika had told me that she will be posting everything. A proof of this has been attached (her voice recording). Her mother Minu Bhatia told me some products are misplaced in shifting, I agreed to that as well and asked her to at least post the rest and still got no positive response and the collaboration was just delayed. After which she has also blocked me".

After her breakup with Satvik Sankyan, Aashika dated her best friend Roshan Gupta. But eventually, it did not go well and they broke up mutually post-lockdown, they are still cordial. However, netizens backlashed Aashika for moving on so quickly after her break-up with Roshan. The actress had hit back at the trolls and asked them to leave her and Roshan alone. She also stated that their breakup was a mutual one and they ended on good terms. Currently, Aashika continues to make reels with Roshan and has continued to stay friends.

Aashika had a major ligament tear in her leg, she was under a cast for more than a month in 2019 when later the doctors decided to go for surgery as the recovery wasn't happening at the expected pace. Aashika's TikTok friend Bhavin Bhanushali had also shared a post for her wishing her luck for the surgery.
