From Dev Joshi traveling to the moon to Anushka Sen bagging Korean projects: TV's famous child actors and what are they doing now?

Child actors have always delighted audiences by portraying well-known characters on TV screens or films. They've also managed to stay in the hearts of audiences despite all these years. While some of them grew old enough to shine on television, others completely disappeared with the onset of time. Many TV child actors like Avneet Kaur, Jannat Zubair, Dev Joshi and so on have been still entertaining the audience and making their families proud with their acts of a deed.


Let's take a look at some TV child actors whose journey and transformation shocked the audience after they turned older:

Dev Joshi

Dev Joshi is known for playing the role of Baal Veer as a child actor and he was seen as a grown up Baalveer in its second season. Dev began playing the role of BaalVeer in 2012 and has also worked in several ads. The actor is presently 21 year-old and has transformed enormously. Dev was also a voice artist who gave his voice to a video game character named Nasty in Elex. Dev Joshi has received the Baal Shakti Puraskar for his outstanding contributions to the arts and culture. PM Narendra Modi bestowed the award on him. Recently it was a proud moment for all Indians and especially the TV industry because he will be joining the ‘dearMoon CREW’ which is led by Yusaku Maezawa. Dev will join him for an all-private lunar endeavour and is also one of the youngest people in the group of eight.

Siddharth Nigam

Siddharth Nigam began his Bollywood career as a child artist in the popular Bollywood film Dhoom. He had a dual role in this big-budget film. The 18-year-old is now a hottie. He keeps showing off his six-pack abs in photos of his toned body. The actor began his television acting career with 'Mahakumbh - Ek Rahasya' and has made significant progress since then. The actor will now appear alongside actress Shehnaaz Gill in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Kinshuk Vaidya

Sanju, aka Kinshu Vaidya, is a grown-up boy who once mesmerised everyone with his magical pencil that could bring anything he drew to life. After playing the lead character in Shaka Laka Boom Boom, he went on to do films. He was recently seen as Nakul Choudhary in Woh Toh Hai Albelaa. The actor was also seen as the lead character in the show Ek Rishta Saajedhari Ka opposite Shivya Pathania.

Anushka Sen

Anushka Sen, who played young Parvati in Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev as a child actress, is now an adult. The actress has transformed into a glamorous woman who appears to be someone entirely different. Her Instagram is full of stylish photos of the diva posing for the cameras. Anushka has also appeared in shows such as Yahan Main Ghar Ghat Kheli, Amrit Manthan, and Haar Jeet, to name a few. She was also seen in the show Balveer. Currently, the actress is preparing to star in her first global film with South Korean actors. She has been busy filming her first K - film with well-known industry directors. She was also the youngest contestant in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.

Avneet Kaur

Avneet began her career as a dancer on Dance India Dance Lil' Masters but later switched to acting, appearing in shows such as Meri Maa, Savitri, Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, and Humari Sister Didi, to name a few. She was also seen in Chandranandini and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as Darsheel Safary's choreographer partner. Avneet looks gorgeous now and will soon be seen in the Bollywood film Tiku Weds Sheru, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Avneet, who has a huge social media following, was also seen in the latest music video Kesariyo Rang.

Ahsaas Channa

Despite beginning her career as a young actor in Bollywood, she quickly moved on to the TV industry. Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Crime Patrol, CID, Savdhaan India, and Ganga are just a few of the shows in which Ahsaas has appeared. Aside from that, Ahsaas has recently appeared in several web series, including Mismatched 2 and Modern Love Mumbai.

Jannat Zubair

Avika Gor

Avika Gor, also known as Choti Anandi, is one of the most well-known child actors of all time. In Balika Vadhu, she portrayed the role of a child bride. The actress went on to star in Sasural Simar Ka, which launched her career. The actress has ventured into Hindi and regional cinema. She returned to TV with the tv series Na Aana Iss Des Laado, but she is now concentrating on her film career.

Ulka Gupta


The actress, who played Manu in Jhansi Ki Rani, has matured into a lovely lady. She is currently starring in Banni Chow Home Delivery as Banni Yuvan Singh Rathod. The actress recently spoke with BT when her show Banni Chow was coming to an end. The actress said that she is not happy with the show getting over by January.

The actress was disappointed and said "I am a little unhappy and disappointed. Maybe it was about the numbers, but I really felt that the concept was good and it gave me tremendous growth as an actor. I agreed to do the show when I was at the crossroads of whether to do OTT or a TV show. And when Banni was offered I liked the concept and it is a role that gave me a lot. I don't know which track did not work for viewers because I felt the show had good potential to connect with the audience. I am very happy that I bagged Banni and at the same time sad that the journey is coming to an end."

Jennifer Winget

Jennifer Winget made her television debut as Piya in one of the most popular children's shows, Shaka Laka Boom Boom. Jennifer is a well-known television actress she was known for her adorable face as a child, but her evolution took everyone by surprise. Jennifer has currently worked on a web series called Code M with Ekta Kapoor. The Beyhadh actress also did work in many renowned shows like Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Kkusum, Dill Mill Gayye, Beyhadh and several others.

Ashnoor Kaur

She isn't a new face on television. She debuted in the show Jhansi Ki Rani in 2009, followed by a few minor roles. She was best known for her roles as Ashok Sundari in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and Dushala in Mahabharat. The actress recently also launched her own lipstick brand and has been active on her social media and quite often interacts with her fans and keeps them updated.
