From Daya falling while breaking dahi handi to Shree Krishna visiting Gokuldham for the festival; Looking back at the iconic Janmashtami moments from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of India's longest-running sitcoms. The show is noted for its relevant storylines and light-hearted approach to everyday circumstances and difficulties. The well-known Gokuldham Society celebrates all festivals, and each episode serves as a sentimental reminder of how quickly we've grown. As Janmashtami approaches, let us look back at TMKOC's Janmashtami celebrations, from Krishna ji visiting the society to the magic of the 'Iccha Purti Matki'.

When Daya fell while breaking Dahi Handi

This was one of the most spectacular Krishna Janmashtami festivities at Gokuldham Society. 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is notable for addressing society concerns and challenging prejudices. During the Janmashtami celebrations, the Gokuldham Mahila Mandal decided to challenge the males of the society by holding the 'Naari Shakti Morcha'. The discussion began when the women expressed their desire to break the dahi handi by building a human pyramid. This idea did not set well with the men, who believed that women could not accomplish it. This resulted in a men-versus-women confrontation, but the ladies outperformed themselves. In the midst of the bustle, Daya was left hanging from the rope, resulting in a calamity for the Gada family when she fell from a height and became unconscious.

Dr Hathi to climb for breaking Dahi Handi

One of the most amusing moments was when the Gokuldham members decided to draw chits to see who would be at the top of the human pyramid and become the Krishna Kanahiya. Dr. Hathi won the drawing game, surprising everyone. Despite several requests, Dr. Hathi refused to give up the opportunity, and what followed next is something you must see.

The 12 crore diamond in Gokuldham

Then comes the episode that had us all rolling on the floor with laughter. Remember when a bandit buried a 12-crore diamond in Gokuldham's Dahi Handi, which dropped on Bhide's head? The commotion, mayhem, and drama in those episodes are exactly what you want to see for some entertainment.

Lord Krishna came to Gokuldham

Lord Krishna paid a visit to Gokuldham Society during a Janmashtami celebration. The celebrations of Krishna Janam began in episode 1215, with a debate about who would play Nand Lal and Yashoda. When Daya Gada observed that'makhan' (butter) had disappeared from all of the'matkis' (pots), the entertainment quotient skyrocketed. The highlight was the Dahi Handi celebration, during which no group was able to shatter the handi until a young boy stepped forward to try. This tiny boy's name was Shree Krishna.

Gokuldham's iccha purti matki

The latest Janmashtami festival at Gokuldham Society won hearts yet again by demonstrating compassion and humanity. It was the moment when society members received a 'Iccha Purti Matki' (wish-fulfilling pot). That pot held the capacity to fulfil the desire of the person who shattered it, but in an act of humanity, the Gokuldham Society members handed the opportunity to a boy who was severely ill and on the point of death. This generous act of society members saved the boy's life.

When Tapu Sena suggested ladies vs men

During one of the Janmashtami episodes, Tapu sena suggested ladies vs men for Dahi handi. All of them agreed and had a fun battle.
