From cute accessories to colour-coded sections; Debinna Bonnerjee gives a peek into her daughters Lianna and Divisha’s Barbie-themed bathroom

I have given a full terrazzo view of this bathroom from the floor to the wall. I used the same tile in everything, which is the terrazzo. I have heard that the terrazzo is pretty in this season. I couldn't resist it, so I made the entire terrazzo.

“The color of the bathroom is in different sections of the house — north, south, east, and west. According to their position, I was asked to choose the colors of the bathroom. So, I selected the bathroom colors accordingly.” Debina explained how Vastu principles guided her choices, ensuring each bathroom’s color is perfectly aligned with harmony and balance in the home’s layout.

“I made it according to Vastu and also made the bathroom cubicle very small. Because it is a guest bathroom, people don’t need to take long baths here. It’s compact, but very functional and aesthetically pleasing,” Debina shared, emphasizing a design that balances space efficiency with comfort while still aligning with traditional Vastu energy principles.

All the bathroom themes are different. So, this bathroom theme is absolutely pink. Like my babies, they always say that they are Barbie themselves. So, that's why I made their bathroom exactly like Barbie. If it was Barbie's bathroom, it would have been like this. It's absolutely pink.

Here I have used two different tiles, the same fluted tiles for the upper part of the bathroom. And the lower part of the bathroom, I have taken big white, off[1]white tiles. Looking at it, it looks like a wooden or colourful European room. But both of them are tiles, the same tiles. These are big tiles and these are small tiles. So, I mixed and matched them, stood in the shop and looked at it like this. And I somehow felt that it looks like a candy floss of the bathroom.

You can also see the floor. It's absolutely floral, I would have done something like this in my bathroom too. But I really liked it. I wanted to fill it with flowers here too. Then I thought it would look like wallpaper. So, I thought it wouldn't look good to overdo anything. It doesn't look good to overdo anything.

You can see that the tissue holder is very similar to the bathroom. So, I got it by chance. So, everything is aligned to the colour and the theme of the bathroom. The partition of the shower and the pot is very small. Obviously, for the next couple of years, the kids will be this big. I'll make it higher later if needed. If I open it, there will be a lot of space in the bathroom. You know, you can easily walk in the bathroom. There is a lot of space. Two girls can easily move around.

This tap head you are seeing is Tom and Jerry's Jerry. Not that it has helped in any way. But it looks very cute to look at. There is nothing extra in this bathroom. This light is again a teddy light. Because obviously, it is in the kids' room. So, this teddy bear always sleeps.
