Faisal Shaikh aka Faisu shoots in his childhood slum house for Celebrity Masterchef; says ‘never thought a production house would come here’

Renowned content creator Faisal Shaikh aka Faisu recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he shot for Celebrity MasterChef in his childhood home. Sharing his humble beginnings, Faisu reflected on how he started his journey in a small slum house, never imagining that a production team would one day shoot in the very place where he once created his early videos.

Faisu gave an emotional house tour, revealing the tiny one-room space that was his entire world growing up. “This is where we cooked, ate, slept, and lived—all in one space,” he shared. The simplicity of his home, with just the basic amenities, served as a reminder of his roots and struggles before he rose to fame.

Standing in his old room, Faisu recalled how he started creating videos in this very space. "Yeh meri chhoti si duniya thi. Yehi hamara 1BHK tha," he said, pointing to the low-hanging ceiling fan that was so close to his head. Despite the challenges, his passion for content creation kept him going.

As the Celebrity MasterChef team set up, Faisu jokingly said, “Kabhi socha tha Faisu ke saath itne protection wale aayenge?” Seeing an entire production crew filming in the same room where he once struggled felt surreal, making the moment even more special for him.

Faisu reminisced about his early shooting days, showing the tiny window space where he would clip a curtain as a backdrop. “Bahut mazaa aata tha uss time pe,” he recalled, smiling. The simplicity of those moments made him appreciate how far he had come.

Expressing his gratitude, Faisu admitted, “I never imagined that a production team would shoot with me here.” Seeing his old home and neighbourhood featured on a reality show was something he never dreamed would happen. He felt happy and proud of his journey.

While in his childhood area, Faisu took the time to meet old neighbours and click selfies with them. As he walked through the streets, he was mobbed by fans, all eager to catch a glimpse of the star who once lived among them. It was a heartwarming moment, showing the deep connection he still shares with his roots.
