Exclusive - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Disha Vakani's brother Mayur Vakani rubbishes reports of her throat cancer
Fans of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been terribly upset and worried with the recent reports about their favourite star suffering from throat cancer. Recently, few sections of media reported that the actress has been detected with throat cancer. It has been reported that Disha is suffering from throat cancer because of her character Dayaben’s peculiar voice in the show.
However, ETimes TV got in touch with Disha's brother Mayur Vakani, who plays Sundar on the show and he dismissed these reports.
Mayur Vakani told ETimes TV, "Aise bahut saare afwaayein aate rehte hain ismein koi sacchayi nahi hai (these kind of rumours keep doing the rounds in the media and there is no truth to it). She is hale and hearty and nothing of this is true. Everyday we get to hear baseless rumours about her but fans should not believe any of these."
We also got in touch with Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who plays Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi and she said, "I am in touch with Disha on and off and I don't think this is true. Agar aisa kuch hota toh pata chalta. I spoke to her towards the end of August because we both stay in the same vicinity. We spoke about our daughter's kathak classes, she sounded absolutely fine. I think these are just rumours."
Disha Vakani aka Dayaben is one of the most loved characters of Indian Television. The actress has been on a break since 2017. She took a break from the show due to her pregnancy and delivered a baby girl in 2017. She was recently blessed with a baby boy. There have been reports of her comeback too in the media for the last two to three years, but the actress has never reacted to them.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently saw the entry of Sachin Shroff who replaced Shailesh Lodha on the show.

This show has become a bogus show, only showing Hindu poojas, and festivals for days together and wasting time. Every year they show the same festivals of Hindus. Why not celebrate the Baisakhi, Nouroz, Ramadan and Christmas? Looks like this is sponsored by RSS and VHP. The humour is dead and so many actors have fled the show because of low payments the show is using blank proxies for the actors who abandoned the show. Very soon the few viewers who are left will also abandon the show.Read allPost comment
