Exclusive! Shrenu Parikh & Akshay Mhatre to tie the knot on December 21
Actor-couple Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre are all set to tie the knot on December 21. The wedding will be preceded by sangeet, mehendi and haldi functions.
The excited couple told us, “We have been preparing for the wedding for quite some time now. We always wanted a close-knit wedding with just our close family friends and relatives in attendance.”
Shrenu recently posted pictures of her bachelorette party on social media where she was seen celebrating with her industry friends Mansi Srivastava and Surbhi Chandna. When we asked Akshay if he will also have a bachelor party and he replied, “Yes, I will also be having a small party with my boy gang before we leave for Vadodara. Shrenu and I are looking forward to this new phase in our lives.”
In an earlier interview with BT, Shrenu had said, “There is a certain calmness that Akshay brings to my stormy soul. Our friendship is the base of our relationship. Our likes and dislikes, goals are the same. When we got together, we knew that we were meant to be together. Every girl dreams about marriage and I am blessed that I have another family now. They let me chase my dreams and follow my heart. I wanted a partner who considers me equal and takes care of me the way my parents do. And having that in Akshay and his family is like a dream come true. We are blessed.”
While Akshay has been seen in shows like Piya Albelaa and Indiawali Maa, Shrenu has been part of shows such as Ishqbaaaz, Ghar Ek Mandir and Maitree.
