All eyes have been on his next project ever since he exited the long-running show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which he joined in November as the new male lead, Armaan Poddar. Shehzada Dhami has been making headline, either being approached or being signed for shows. There have been reports of him being signed for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT, and the most recent news involves him being cast and then replaced in Suhaagan Chudail.
We reached out to Shehzada about him being approached for Suhaagan Chudail only to be making way for another ahead of the shoot and he replied, “I have not had any meetings with the makers of Suhaagan Chudail, so the question of me signing the show doesn’t arise. I am weighing my options and haven’t taken up any project yet.”
Before Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Shehzada has been featured in shows like Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka, Choti Sarrdaarni and Shubh Shagun.
We were the first to report about Nia Sharma being cast for the title role in the show. Suhaagan Chudail will mark her comeback to the fiction and supernatural genres after four years. The actress was last seen in the fourth season of Naagin. She was later seen in Khatron ke Khiladi: Made in India and the 10th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She also made an appearance in Bigg Boss OTT and the 15th season of the reality show. The makers of Suhaagan Chudail have finalised Zayn Ibad Khan for the character of the male lead and Bengali actress Debchandrima Singha Roy will be portraying the parallel lead.
Talking about Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the makers finalised Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani in the place of Shehzada and Pratiksha Honmukhe. The makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai terminated Shehzada and Pratiksha’s contracts citing unprofessionalism. The two are yet to share their side of the story.
