Read ahead to know about their off-screen chemistry

Television actors Roopal Tyagi and Amitt Singh are both a part of the show Ranju Ki Betiyaan. Right from making reels together for Instagram and uploading cute pictures, they are becoming a popular jodi. But they are not a couple in real life, they clarify. They are good friends and like spending time together. We had a chat with the two where they spoke about their camaraderie and how it all began...

I was nervous meeting Roopal for the first time: Amitt

Amitt joined the cast of Ranju ki Betiyaan a month ago. He says, “My scenes are mostly opposite Roopal. I had spoken to her once before, but we had never met. She is a senior actress and I wondered what she would be like. I was a new actor who joined the show mid-way and Roopal was the one who supported me in every way. She made me feel welcome and comfortable."

I didn't know that I would have a co-actor: Roopal

Roopal says she didn't know the production house was casting somebody new. “I wasn’t even aware that they were bringing in someone opposite me. We had just relocated to Silvassa and I didn’t expect a new entry at that point. When I got to know the only I thought was, ‘Mumbai se koi Silvassa aa raha hai... what can I ask him to bring?’ Then I spoke to him and asked him to bring me my books. My focus was not the new actor joining but how I could make my life more comfortable in Silvassa! I became besharam and asked him for a favour and he did it too,” shares Roopal.

Coffee has made their bond stronger

Both are coffee lovers. Amitt shares, “My mornings in Silvassa started with Roopal’s coffee. She knows how to make amazing coffee. Only she can brew a cup of coffee like that which instantly recharges a person.” Roopal feels that their bond as co-actors and friends has strengthened because of coffee. “The two of us love drinking coffee and we have had endless conversations over coffee. I think those sips together slowly and gradually has turned us into amazing friends.”

5/7

Roopal never lets me sleep: Amitt

Amitt says, “The worst thing which Roopal does to me is that she doesn’t let me take power naps on the sets. Whenever we get free in the afternoons, I used to head to my room to take a nap but she argues that I am not an old man who needs so much rest!”

Amitt is a total brat: Roopal

Roopal says, “He keeps pulling my leg and there are times when I feel that I will cry but I control. The whole day he finds ways how he can pull my leg. Another thing which irritates me the most is that he constantly plays with his hair. I don’t know what he achieves by doing that but he is constantly playing with his hair.”

Shooting in a bio bubble was scary but fun

The two have enjoyed their stint in Silvassa. Says Roopal, “When we got to know that we will be shooting in a bio bubble we were scared. We were wondering how we would manage our food and workout etc. It almost felt like we were going to the Bigg Boss house. The unit members would joke that since you all will be locked up together, don’t start fighting with each other."

Amitt adds, “It was a totally new experience for me and it was fun. Since we spent so much time together we all bonded really well with each other. This helped us in our shooting as well."
