Exclusive - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress Kamalika Guha Thakurta enjoys a family holiday in Kashmir; says 'Travelling with family always makes the experience more special'
Known for her acting prowess and currently winning hearts with her performance in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kamalika Guha Thakurta recently took a refreshing summer break with her family to the picturesque valleys of Kashmir.
“Every summer, I usually plan a vacation with my family, and this year we decided to revisit Kashmir,” shares Kamalika. Contrary to assumptions, this wasn’t her first visit to the region. “I had visited Kashmir before and had found its beauty truly heavenly. Ever since then, I had been wanting to go back.”
Addressing concerns surrounding the region’s history and security, she candidly admits, “Yes, security issues did play up in my mind. However, we did our checks and were reassured that it was safe. Tourism has picked up once again, and we felt comfortable making the trip.”
Accompanied by her husband Rajnish and their two daughters, Nishtha and Reet, the vacation turned into a collection of cherished memories. “Travelling with family always makes the experience more special. Creating memories together in a place as beautiful as Kashmir was truly priceless,” she says.
When asked what she enjoyed the most, Kamalika shared. “As the saying goes, Kashmir truly is heaven on earth. Nature’s beauty here is mesmerizing. The stunning landscapes and the serene atmosphere and other experiences just reaffirmed my love for the valley."
However, one particular moment that will always remain in her heart. “Sitting in silence next to the Lidder River in Pahalgam, there is so much peace in that solitude. It’s a feeling I’ll carry with me forever.”
For Kamalika, the trip was not just a holiday. It gave her a chance to spend time with her family, enjoy nature, and soak in the peaceful beauty of Kashmir once again.
