Exclusive! Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao: We always wanted a baby girl

Actor-couple Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao welcomed their baby girl on October 1. Keith, who is ecstatic, said, “Rochelle had a normal delivery and I saw her experience all the emotions. From pain to finally joy, after she delivered the baby, it was a blessing to see my baby girl. We have always wished for a baby girl and God has answered our prayers.” He added, “Girls are always daddy’s girls and it’s a joy to hold my baby in my hands.”

We spoke to Rochelle too, who said, “I am glad it was a normal delivery. I had wanted one. The baby is healthy and I am doing fine, that’s what counts the most. Keith has been by my side throughout and the entire journey has been so beautiful. Now we are both starting a new chapter as parents and are extremely excited.”

In an earlier interview to BT, after Rochelle and Keith announced the news of their pregnancy on social media, Rochelle had said, "Keith is such a kind guy and caring husband, he is already cooking breakfast for me and spoils me whenever I feel like eating a dessert. He has been taking care of me so well." Keith shared, "It is always a joyous feeling to become a dad. We had been planning for some time so when it finally happened I knew it first. In fact Rochelle did not have to break the news. I just knew that we are now going to have a child." Rochelle had shared how the pressure to have a child is too high on an Indian couple. She had said, "We want a baby but the society keeps pressuring you to have one. If you are married they say when you will have a baby and when you have one they say when will you have next. It is so funny and then when you are expecting people give you all kinds of analytical suggestions."
