Exclusive! Gurpreet Bedi is no longer part of Kumkum Bhagya, Kavita Banerjee replaces her

Gurpreet Bedi, who was recently roped in for the ongoing TV show Kumkum Bhagya, has now been replaced by Kavita Banerjee. A few days back Gurpreet even spoke about how she was happy to be a part of the show. She had said in an interview, "Kumkum Bhagya has been on air for ten years. It is a prestigious show and it's an honour to be a part of this show. Some of my friends are already a part of the show which makes it even more exciting. I'm thrilled to be a part of a show like Kumkum Bhagya."

But we have learnt from our source that the actress has now been replaced by Kavita. The source said, "Kavita has started shooting for the show and she will be playing the role of Trishna. It's a negative character opposite Krishna Kaul, who plays Ranbir Kohil in the show."

We reached out to Kavita who did not respond to our calls.

When we spoke Gurpreet, she said, "Yes, I was doing Kumkum Bhagya, but mutually we decided to part ways. Initially, the role that they had told me was for a long period, but later they changed the script and made it like a cameo which I didn't want to do. I think they are still working on the script and the storyline."

Gurpreet is now looking for an interesting role. She shared, "I am looking out for something substantial because I know my potential as an actor. I want to leave an impact on the audience... that's the kind of work I want to do."
