Exclusive! Divya Drishti actress Prakriti Nautiyal gets engaged in her hometown Dehradun

Actress Prakriti Nautiyal, who was last seen in the TV show Barrister Babu, got engaged in Dehradun today. Prakriti got engaged to Vandit Shah, a stock trader.

Vandit is from Mumbai and the two knew each other through common friends. The engagement was a simple affair with family members present.

Prakriti said, "It is interesting how I met Vandit. Vandit was one of my classmate's cousin and he had got married in 2019. I used to have a huge crush on him but I could never tell him. After he got married, I never thought about him. But in 2020, he lost his wife in the pandemic. It was very unfortunate and we connected and actually met a few months ago. And after we met, we connected well and then decided to take this ahead. Vandit is based in Mumbai but we got engaged the pahadi way at my home in Dehradun. His mother is very happy for us and so are my parents."

She added, "Vandit is a very honest and simple guy and I really like that about him. It is interesting how circumstances brought us together."

Prakriti plans to tie the knot next year. She said, "We don't want to wait very long. We are planning to tie the knot next year around February or March. He is a Gujarati and I am from Uttarakhand, so the wedding will be done traditionally according to my family's customs. We are very happy."

On the work front,
Prakriti is focussing more on web shows now. She said, "I won't be able to commit to a TV show because it is a long-term commitment. I want to work in the OTT space because the shows run for a smaller period of time. I want to focus on my marriage, too."

Prakriti has acted in TV shows like Divya Drishti, Barrister Babu and more recently the web show Pavitra Rishta, which had Shaheer Sheikh and Ankita Lokhande.
