Bigg Boss OTT winner and actress
Divya Agarwal, who got engaged to beau Apurva Padgaonkar in December last year, recently announced her wedding month. Divya and Apurva will be tying the knot in February 2024. While the actress is busy promoting her new project Tatlubaaz, she spoke to ETimes TV about the wedding preparations and how it is going.
Divya shared that through her wedding she will be breaking several stereotypes and it will be an inspiration to all the girls who lose their father.
Speaking about how the word wedding planning makes her nervous, she shared, "The moment I hear about the planning for the wedding, I get scared because there are so many things involved. Sometimes I feel I should have just gotten married secretly and revealed later like how others do. Just post the photos after the wedding (laughs). I’m planning to have a simple wedding where I can enjoy a lot without any worry. I don’t want to stress which uncle is staying in which room and if the guests and families are looked after properly. I don’t want to do that. I want to live the moment for myself and my would-be husband Apurva.
It should be beautiful for both of us."
Divya, who has achieved many milestones in her career and has managed to accomplish things in her personal life as well, shared how her wedding is going to be an inspiration for those who don't have a father, "I am going to break several stereotypes during my wedding and all the girls who will be watching the wedding will feel that it doesn’t matter if we have our father’s blessings or not, every girl can get married without taking any loan or taking any stress," she said.
Divya and Apurva have a huge friends circle and the actress joked how she is worried of inviting guests at the wedding, "Yes, the main tension is of inviting so many guests, how will we accommodate them as Apurva and I, we both have too many friends. Kash hum Rajwade Khaandaan se hote toh we would have got married in some Rajasthan’s mahal. We are not able to find a way to accommodate or invite so many people. We would divide guests. Like at weddings only these people can come and for the engagement, other set of people. Kuch Na kuch toh kar lenge," she concluded.
Divya in an earlier interview with ETimes TV had spoken about her relationship with fiancé Apurva and how he surprised her by proposing to her on her birthday with an engagement ring. In the same interview, she revealed that she had dated Apurva in the year 2015, but they broke up in 2018. But they managed to stay friends even after parting ways. She further shared that after her break-up with Varun Sood in 2022, she was going through a difficult time and it was Apurva, who helped her.
