Exclusive - Dhruv Tara actres Gulfam Khan Hussain shares her birthday plans; says, "This year we're going to Azerbaijan with a few friends”
Actress Gulfam Khan Hussain is currently on a travelling mode as she is celebrating her birthday today (6th June) and abiding by her birthday ritual of travelling to a new country. Gulfam says, "My plans every year are more or less the same. I stay for the bringing in with friends and then my husband Ali and I travel to a new country for a holiday. This year it is Azerbaijan. The difference this year is that we're travelling with a few friends.”
Sharing one of her fondest birthday memories, Gulfam says,”It was my 16th birthday and my eldest sister (who is over a decade older than me) invited all my friends home and cooked delicious goodies. (She's the best cook I know) and all of us had great fun.”
Gulfam, who is known for her versatility in the industry, feels, "First you are a child, then youngster and you grow old. Your body and organs do age, there is no point denying it. What's fun is that you're 90 but live on a high like you're 19. Like my mother in law lives, she makes me realise life is beautiful, every day is a new birth.“
She also adds,”I don't wait for birthdays or special occasions, I indulge when I want to. This year Ali bought me a luxury bag.
I believe in eating good food, being happy, eating some more and being happier. My birthday wish would be for world peace, love and harmony. And also I want to tell the universe that it would be a dream come true if I could do a fiction show about travel and food, which would be a unique genre..”
Gulfam Khan Hussain is a versatile Indian actress known for her work in television, film, and theater. With a career spanning over two decades, she has captivated audiences with her compelling performances in popular TV shows such as Naamkarann and Laado 2. She is currently seen in Dhruv Tara.
