Exclusive - Bigg Boss OTT 2's Bebika Dhurve: The first week was the most difficult as I was called mental and body shamed by other contestants

Bigg Boss OTT season 2 recently wrapped up on a successful note. Bebika Dhurve, who was one of the finalists of the season, recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive conversation. Bebika revealed that after coming out of the house she watched the show and was disheartened with the comments that were made against her by other contestants body-shaming her. She further revealed that she would love to be friends with Manisha Rani again leaving the grudges aside. She also stated that Elvish Yadav usually would support her in the talks and she loved that he took a stand for her. (Photo: Instagram)

I never had any doubts about my family not supporting me

No, I never had any doubts about my family not supporting me or shaming my parents or not making them proud. The reason is that I’d seen behaviour of the other contestants against me. They had called me mental, a person who has mental illness and that I do unusual things, I’m a negative person and I’m getting Pooja Bhatt’s support in the house. They were setting false narratives against me. After a point I’d started laughing at the false narratives.

I never got insecure because of other contestant's statements

The contestants would tell me “Tere family ye soch rahi hogi, sharam kar rahi hogi”. My family has known me since childhood, but they got to know me in one or two weeks. My parents will know me better than you. Why will I let their harsh words affect me? I never got insecure because of their statements. Yes, I used to get aggressive when it went on a repeat mode. I won’t deny I also made comments on Abhishek’s parents, but he also said a few things. (Photo: Instagram)

I was body shamed by not just Abhishek but other girls like Jiya Shankar and Palak Purswani

The first week of the show was the most difficult one as I was nominated by 6 people, I was sent to jail, Aaliya Siddiqui nominated me at that time she was my friend. I started to have problems with my friends like Abhishek. All this impacted my personality and it became toxic. I was nominated and was called fake by most house members. Audience did not find me fake, but these contestants did. I was underestimated, was treated in a very downtrodden way, I was body shamed by not just Abhishek but other girls like Jiya Shankar and Palak Purswani which I saw after coming out of the show. It was very disappointing and disheartening. (Photo: Instagram)

When Abhishek got arrogant, bitter with me, it hurt me

When Abhishek got arrogant, bitter with me and started to shrug me off, it hurt me a lot. He started to ignore me and made new friends. They all started to bitch about me, mock me, and all that hurt me a lot. But now what really matters is how the journey has ended. I’m happy everything is fine with Abhishek. (Photo: Instagram)

My connection with Manisha was very genuine and I still want to be friends with her

I am in touch with Pooja Bhatt ma’am, Cyrus sir and we are on talking terms. Also I’m in touch with Elvish. I want to be in contact with Manisha as well. I know we had fights and our friendship got ruined but I tried my best to be nice with them. I did not want to spread toxicity or negativity till the end. The bond I felt with Manisha in the beginning of the show was very special. I can’t forget. Due to some fights, I can’t forget the good moments that I spent with her. My connection with Manisha was very genuine and I still want to be friends with her. Agar Woh first few weeks waali Manisha milti hai toh I seriously want to be connected with her. Keeping everything else aside. (Photo: Instagram)

Elvish is a very nice, sweet and a kind hearted person

As everyone must have noticed I really liked Elvish from the day he entered the show. He is a very nice guy. I am happy that things were sorted in the Bigg Boss house itself within us. Whatever he did, he felt guilty and apologised for it. Talking to him or connecting with him very easy. It is very easy to make him understand our view point. He accepts his mistakes, works on them. He is a very nice, sweet and a kind hearted person. Uska Aur Mera humour bahut pasand tha Mujhe. I love his sarcasm and he’s very sharp, intelligent. (Photo: Instagram)

Meeting Abhishek Malhan in the hospital

I wanted to go and meet him immediately, the next day after the finale but it was quite late. So, I did not disturb him and as he was in the hospital resting I did not want to disturb him. So, I got along very well with his mother and I connected with her very well. I found a very good friend in her. Abhishek bol bol ke thak Gaya Meri dost ban jaa… but I got along well with his mom. I told his mother that I want to come and see Abhishek in the hospital. She was very nice and cordial. She said please beta aajao aap. When I went I didn’t know how he would react but he had a big smile on his face and he was super happy. He was like oh ho look who is here, Bebika is here. Then we sat together and talked to each other. (Photo: Instagram)

I want to be connected with Abhishek’s mom

It was very nice and I told Abhishek you did not win the trophy but you made a place in the audience's hearts. You have won many people and it matters more than the trophy, he was very happy. I did not see him upset or sad about not winning the trophy. His confidence was intact and he was happy from within that he is getting so much love from people. I’m happy for him that he has started to realise that the trophy is not the only thing that matters and it is the audience's love also that is important. Then Aaliya Siddiqui came and I was not feeling comfortable around, so I left. I want to be connected with Abhishek’s mom. I don't know for how long Abhishek and I can be friends because we keep fighting. But his mom understands me well, she’s very mature. Unke saath meri kaafi banti hai.. Everything is good between us now. (Photo: Instagram)
