Exclusive - Bigg Boss 18's Winner Karan Veer Mehra On Eisha Singh's comment on his two divorces; says 'I was hurt...'

Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 18 after defeating Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal in the finals. The actor faced many challenges in the show, and recently opened up about his journey in the controversial reality show. In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, the actor spoke about his friendship with Vivian Dsena, the constant negative comments he faced and special bond with Chum Darang. Karan also opened up about Eisha Singh's comment about his two divorces. (Photo: Instagram)

On Vivian's comment about Karan not getting his due

I’ve always maintained that Vivian is a wonderful person. I heard he spoke about me not getting the recognition I deserve, and Bigg Boss even informed me about the incident. I believe this trophy isn’t just mine—it belongs to everyone who has loved and supported me, including the media. I’m truly grateful to have won the show thanks to everyone’s collective efforts. On constant bad-mouthing by other comments

I was told that I didn’t contribute much during the initial weeks, but I don’t agree with that. I lived every moment of the show to the fullest. In fact, there was an instance where I spoke back to Salman Khan sir, something I was very apologetic about. I hope I didn’t come across as rude. Even then, I told Salman sir that I don’t care what other contestants think of me. I’m quite a stubborn person, and no matter what anyone says, my hair is never going to turn blue. So, whether you like my blue hair or not, I really don’t care. (Photo: Instagram)

On winning the trophy on his Father's birth anniversary

Yes, this trophy is a result of my dad’s and grandparents’ blessings. My grandmother passed away just before Khatron Ke Khiladi, and I believe I won that because of her blessings. Similarly, I won this Bigg Boss 18 trophy because of my father’s blessings. Today is my father’s birthday, and winning on this special day feels like a gift from him to me. (Photo: Instagram)

On how Bigg Boss 18 will open new doors for him

I’m really happy because the reach has expanded significantly. Just because the screen is smaller doesn’t mean the audience reach has reduced. It’s not about the size of the screen; it’s about how far you can connect with people. I’m glad I’ve been able to reach every corner of the country, and that makes me truly happy. (Photo: Instagram)

On decoding Avinash's game

Yes, I also felt that Avinash took the 'villain' tag quite seriously. He entered the show playing a character, likely influenced by watching the previous season. However, I’m confident that he has now matured and learned how to handle the media and interact with everyone more appropriately. (Photo: Instagram)

Meeting mom after three and a half months

I was overwhelmed when I met my mom. Back when I was in Delhi playing table tennis in the under-14/16 category, she once came to watch my match. I was ranked number one but suddenly dropped to 7th or 8th position. From that day on, she stopped attending any of my competitions. She never came to watch my games again because she felt this was another one of those moments. Instead, she stayed in the vanity van, fingers crossed, praying for me. (Photo: Instagram)

It’s up to Chum to decide where our relationship will go from here

I was confident she would make it to the Top 5, because of Chum's journey in the show, and she did it. As for our relationship, it grew gradually over time, and we became protective of each other. We appreciated each other’s habits, discovered many similarities, and complemented one another well. Now that we are out in the real world, it’s up to her to decide where our relationship will go from here. (Photo: Instagram)

When will you officially propose to her?

Yeah, Chum told me to win the trophy first and then ask her (proposal). Now that the trophy is home, once we step out of here, we’ll see how things progress. (Photo: Instagram)

On Eisha's comment on his two divorces

I got emotional, not because of Eisha’s comment about my divorces, but because of my journey. It made me feel bad that I had hurt two people in the past. I’m not dead from inside, and I think that’s visible to everyone. I wasn’t upset by the comment itself, as I don’t give importance to such things. I’ve always said (Maine jaise bola main bahut dheeth type ka insaan hoon), I’m a stubborn person. However, when someone speaks about me, they indirectly bring up the two people who were part of my life. Those people have moved on, and others don’t know them. It hurt me that they were unnecessarily being dragged into this. One comment leads to people searching for them online, messaging them, log unko tang karna shuru ho jaayenge (and bothering them). That’s what upset me during the press conference because those chapters are over and don’t need to be reopened. (Photo: Instagram)
