Dipika Kakar breaks down after meeting her oncologist amid liver cancer treatment; says, ‘The reports are normal, but there is a constant fear and anxiety’

Dipika Kakar recently opened up about an emotional moment during her ongoing liver cancer treatment in her latest vlog. After meeting her oncologist, the actress broke down, sharing that although her latest reports look normal, she continues to battle an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety throughout the process. Everything is normal, but I still felt extremely anxious

Today was a hospital day. We went to meet my oncologist, Dr. Imran Shaikh. I met him today, and after speaking with him for a while, I suddenly felt like crying. Everything is normal, but I still felt extremely anxious. When I first learned about my illness, I cried a lot. After that, I tried to stay very strong, throughout the entire journey, during my surgery, and through the recovery. But today, I don’t know why, I just broke down in tears. Every single day in this journey brings a new challenge, and sometimes my heart simply can’t hold it all in. (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)

Every day brings something different

It’s not that I feel overwhelmed all the time, there are days I feel genuinely happy and hopeful. There are days I believe everything is absolutely fine, and that despite such a major issue, things are still okay. Every day brings something different, and the only way forward is to keep going. And that’s exactly what we’re trying to do. I’m going through an emotional breakdown right now. Alhamdulillah, all my reports are normal and things are moving in the right direction. But… there’s still that lingering fear in my heart, even when everything seems okay. I spoke to Somnath Sir about it, and he mentioned how anxiety works. Dr. Imran Shaikh also says the same thing. Every day I wake up dealing with something new

But the truth is, every day I wake up dealing with something new. Sometimes my thyroid levels fluctuate. Hormonal changes affect the body in unexpected ways. My skin has become extremely dry, these past two days the air has been so dry that the skin on my hands has started cracking. There’s this odd pressure I feel in my ears and neck. My nose feels uncomfortably dry too. (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)

I believe the only way to fight through all of this is to keep moving

Individually, these things may seem small… very small. But when you face them every single day, it becomes exhausting at times. And on some days, you just feel tired. Still, you have to remind yourself that this is nothing, you have to get up and keep going. Like we always say, you have only two choices: sit with the fear and let it consume you, or confront it and move forward. And I believe the only way to fight through all of this is to keep moving. So don’t give up.” (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)Also Read: Dipika Kakar gets emotional after visiting Ajmer Sharif Dargah with Shoaib Ibrahim and son; says 'Jab Ruhaan NICU mein tha tab maine mannat maangi thi'

Dipika gets emotional - Choose life, Choose happiness. Face everything with strength

Dipika couldn’t hold back her tears as she said, “I just want to share this with all of you. I know so many people are dealing with situations far more serious than mine, and even your families might be going through tough times. All I want to say is, don’t give up. Choose life. Choose happiness. Face everything with strength, and hold on to your faith in God. That’s all.” (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)

Only the person suffering truly knows what’s happening inside them

Standing by Dipika, Shoaib added, “Dipika is right, something or the other comes up every single day. Anyone battling an illness and trying to recover from it goes through things that we, on the outside, can’t fully understand. We may encourage them, we may try to keep them strong, and Dipika really does put on a brave face. But even then, there are challenges she has to face daily. And this is true for everyone going through such a journey. Only the person suffering truly knows what’s happening inside them, no matter how strong they appear. But what Dipika said is also true. We only have control over how we deal with it. What has happened is done; we can’t change that. So the best thing we can do now is approach it positively, take proper care, keep our willpower firm, and leave the rest to God.” (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)

All the doctors are monitoring everything together

Because my thyroid levels keep fluctuating, we stay in regular contact with Dr. Tushar. All the doctors are monitoring everything together. For the past three to four days, I’ve been feeling a little worried because whenever I touch this particular spot below my chin and above my neck, it hurts. He told me there’s nothing to panic about, it’s just a lymph node. It might be reacting due to a throat or cold-related issue, but there’s nothing serious about it.” (Photo: Dipika Kakar YouTube)

Dipika on her road to recovery

Dipika, who was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, underwent a 14-hour-long surgery in June earlier this year. She is currently on a two-year targeted oral therapy to reduce the risk of recurrence. The actress has been sharing health updates through her vlogs and inspiring many people. (Photo: Instagram)

Extreme hair loss due to targeted oral therapy

Dipika Kakar, who is undergoing oral therapy, revealed in one of her earlier vlogs that she has been dealing with severe hair fall due to the side effects of her medication. She spoke about losing a considerable amount of hair and mentioned that she plans to use hair patches to manage the hair loss. In one of her old videos, she was seen trying on the hair patch.
