Dilip Joshi-Munmun Dutta, Sonalika Joshi-Mandar Chandwadkar: ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actors who have worked together in other shows before

Several beloved stars of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ have shared screen space long before becoming part of the iconic Gokuldham family. From Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta to Sonalika Joshi and Mandar Chandwadkar, many ‘TMKOC’ actors have appeared together in earlier TV shows and regional projects.

Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta had already worked together before ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ in the show 'Hum Sab Baraati'. Munmun once revealed that it was actually Dilip who recommended her name for ‘TMKOC.’ She also shared that she was just 17 years old when she first entered the entertainment industry.

Mandar Chandwadkar and Sonalika Joshi have shared the screen for over a decade and are known for their effortless chemistry. Interestingly, it was Sonalika who recommended Mandar’s name for ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’ The two had already worked together in several Marathi plays and TV shows long before becoming the beloved on-screen couple of Gokuldham Society.

The beloved father-son duo, Dilip Joshi and Amit Bhatt, have appeared together in several episodes of the comedy show ‘FIR.’ Tanmay Vekaria, who also plays a key role in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ has featured in episodic roles of ‘FIR’ alongside both Dilip and Amit.

Tanmay Vekaria and Disha Vakani have worked together in several Gujarati plays, and in one of them, they were even cast opposite each other. Interestingly, in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ their dynamic is completely different, with Disha playing Tanmay’s sethani, adding a fun twist to their long-standing professional bond.

Veteran late actor Ghanshyam Nayak and Rakesh Bedi shared a warm camaraderie long before ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’ Their association dates back to the popular show ‘Shrimaan Shrimati.’ The two have also appeared together in several hit films. Late Ghanshyam was seen in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Ishq', etc.
